The best restaurants in South Richmond Richmond upon Thames London

Well, we were here today for a Mothers Day lunch. We’d been a couple of years ago and it’s been decorated since then. It looks much better. We looked at some of the meals been served nearby and they all looked decidedly underwhelming and a bit “ greasy spoon cafe”. So, undeterred we thought we’d play it safe. We just ordered mains. One daughter had the mussels and my wife, myself and our other daughter had the roast chicken. The chicken was really nice but the vegetables were overdone, the Yorkshire pudding was a limp sponge and my roast potatoes looked like boiled ones. Having said all that I did polish everything off and it was quite tasty. Jess said her mussel sauce was a bit bland and the portion was small for a main course. As for the positives: the wine was good, my gluten free beers were great, our cocktails (quite a few of them) were very good and so was my coffee. But everything took an age to come out of the kitchen and one of the blokes bringing it out looked like he’d been sleeping in a duvet in the nearest bus shelter. Our waiter, the only English chap, was excellent but he had to keep apologising for the slow service. For Richmond, the prices were not bad and we actually had a very nice time - but then we are a family that gets on and pretty much always have a good time when we are out. In essence, it’s a good place in some ways but a gastro pub it is not.

Dining here has been such a great experience. I attended last weekend for Rugby day and the food was great, specially taking into account the rush on those days. Great work by Arguita who helped us with our choices and made our experience so much better. We will come back in the future with our daughter as it seems also a kids friendly restaurant. Really nice overall 10/10

Perfect service, delicious food. We felt very welcome with our little son. We will definitely come back.

Nice option for lunch in Chiswick, good quality ingredients, moist and generously filled wraps. Shame they don’t open in the evenings.

A great real Italian cafe/restaurant, appealing menu, stand-out ingredients, generous portions, fair prices, great coffee, efficient service, a pearl. Refreshing, after avoiding the chains.

Empanadas are great, and this is coming from an argie! Very traditional and the flavours are amazing. These were part of a company event and everyone was enjoying them a lot. 10/10 happiness all around.

One of my favourite places to go for a crepe with my children. Been coming here regularly for a couple of years and it never lets me down. A shame the place is so small but it is well worth going to and in summer one can eat the crepes on Richmond Green which is 25m or so away.

I I had the opportunity to organize Holy Communion for my sons at Paleta Kitchen. From the beginning we were treated with full professionalism and competence. Very well informed at every stage. On that day I was delighted with the design and attention to detail in decotration. the food looked and tasted great! the service was polite and very helpful. I am delighted with the whole party and I definitely recommend Paleta Kitchen for everyone - both for dinner and occasional parties! Personally, I can say that all mine will be organized there regularly.

Fui a este café para almorzar y encontré el ambiente muy desagradable y desagradable. Necesitaba responder un correo electrónico, pero me encontré con avisos en todo el café que indican que las computadoras portátiles / tabletas no están permitidas. Pagué £ 4 por un pequeño jugo de naranja, y me preguntaron repetidamente si pediría comida, de una manera poco amigable. We've got high standards for big, soft pretzels, and these did very well. They don't do a plain, salty one very well, but all the others are great, including a couple of good dessert pretzels. Mine with caramelized onions was very good indeed.

Un restaurante cálido y agradable con una buena selección de menú. Comida recién cocinada que es delicioso. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente - tanto comer en y para llevar.

A quick visit for a single cone. Fast, pleasant service. Biscuit gelato, and all looked in general, much softer that i’m used to, but tasted great. Sensible price.

Esta fue nuestra segunda visita a este Restaurante (la última vez hace unos años), y como antes ambos optamos por la Carbonara. Incluso mejor que nuestra última visita. Increíble cómo pueden resultar tan excelente comida en una cocina tan pequeña. Muy recomendable
