The best restaurants in Aycliffe North County Durham North East

OMG - was going to have a takeaway from this place tonight but after reading the reviews I think I will skip it. Not cheap but have never had a bad meal from here, quite the opposite in fact. Fabulous food and service. No decent takeaways in Newton Aycliffe so what do I do now? Think I might risk it as what we have had in the past has been excepsional.

Basically no curry sauce on my chippy chips. Young lady put no sauce on my chippy chips. Very disappointed,.I hope to see more curry next time

Tasteless and wishy-washy. Lacking any depth of flavour. The starters of chicken pakora and onion bhaji were okay, nothing to brag about though. Overall, I was disappointed and would be hard pushed to visit again based on this experience.

Our family of three went for Sunday lunch and the food was really good. Large portion and very tasty. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We will be back!

Just had a meal for 2 with wife. It was superb. Spotless clean very friendly staff attentive to us. We had a special Biriani and a Corma. Peshwari nanna and pilau rice. Meal was superb. Highly recommend. Left very happy and will cone back again.

Honestly the fish was alright but the chips were horrible. The portion size was unacceptable for £3. I spent £9 on chips and all of the portions pretty much came to the size of what I would expect for 1 portion. Put me off ordering from reds.

Very disappointed. Ordered 2 adult pork, 1 adult beef and 2 kids beef. The adult dinners came upside down! The adult beef didn't arrive and the swede and stuffing were very watery. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from here again! I paid £35 to get no dinner.

Really great food and lovely people nice and clean

Having arrived at a surprise birthday party on Saturday 1st July at the Phoenix club in Newton Aycliffe and seeing how much hard work the family and friends had done on the birthday boys behalf it was very disappointing to see the DJ who was recommend by the club basically threating to turn the music off if he wasn't paid in full. The family were very shocked and distressed with this behaviour as they had just arrived in the room, also during the night when asked to play up to date songs he's reply was that he was playing to an older crowd and just played what he wanted even though it was a 30th and not a 70th birthday with an average age in the room of between 18-35. He also stopped playing at exactly 11pm and just disappeared from the room and as the family and friends started to tidy and do what the club had asked by putting table and chairs away and tidying up the bar staff were busy taking their drinks of which some were full drinks and all before 11:10pm just after they had bought them at 11:00pm. You can see why this club is struggling if they treat people like this we will defiantly not be using this club for any more organised events or even for a normal night out.

We always go here for our Sunday lunch absolutely beautiful, definitely recommend 👌 service is amazing and the staff too.

Awesome if pick up from shop but very disappointed when get it delivered, but sometimes even though 5 mins away it's nice to stay comfy and get a treat delivered but each time it comes cold one time had burgers and the buns were soggy and not edible i ate the meat and salad another time pizza was that cold the cheese was hard had to microwave it and tonight I thought try a wrap and just fell to pieces had to use knife and fork to eat a wrap all over and chips needed microwaved then puts me off again for awhile cause I could just make hot food to enjoy in the time takes to deliver cold food to not fully enjoy for the money like I said food spot on when I collect but food must be left counter for awhile or something cause when I collect it's still hot and nice when get home and its every delivery

Most definitely one of the worst examples of customer service that I've had in a long time! There were about four of us standing in the shop waiting while two of the three assistance talked about their Christmas arrangements! I almost put my sandwich down and left! When I got back to work, the filling in the sandwich was virtually non-existent! I won't be returning

I was here a on Friday gone, getting together with a friend for a coffee and chat. Throughout our conversation we were disturbed by a loud noise coming from the counter area, a loud grinding noise, that echoed all over. It was similar to being in a loud pub and I could just about hear my friend speak. It was annoying and shouldn't be done where customers are. We won't be coming back here again.

Ordered house special fried rice, plain chow mein , gravy , prawn crackers on way from work tonight always been great but not this time , there is no taste it's so bland , ive had to reheat it in my wok and add more soy sauce, rice wine. Oyster sauce some other seasonings tk make it taste nice , really disappointed will nit be going again , paid £18 which I think is really steap for what k got , I can cook better chinese than these people, I would recommend people going elsewhere cos this place is crap
