The best restaurants in Elvet County Durham North East

I was sent a gift voucher for afternoon tea for Christmas only to find that all Patisserie Valerie stores closed on 04/01/24 so have never been able to visit , did see what looked like a building site . Cant believe they still issued vouchers knowing they were closing every single store , Dreadful state of affairs

Ordered two 'Croque Monsieur' and what arrived was two ham and cheese toasties lathered in poor quality English mustard? Why English Mustard? With stale crisps and wilted lettuce. Very poor and given the price quite surprising, especially given that there are numerous much nicer cafés in the city. Staff rather surly as well.

there was sides missing from the order the chips were soggy and cold the chicken was overcooked wont order from here again

worst experience ever, waited almost 2 and a half hours for this order, my portions of chips were raw and i found a long ginger hair in them. all the kebab wraps were cold and i wont be surprised if i wake up with samonella tommorrow what a lovely start to 2025

Pretty much pants!!! Not been for couple years nowt special at all!!! I used to deliver the chicken when KFC was very rare and it used to b amazing

Give this place the benefit of the doubt a few times now, they don’t know how to make a pizza it’s simple toppings always too saucy falls off the pizza dough to stretched out so ends up with holes on bottom of base

I would highly advise that you don't waste your time visiting this Starbucks and wasting your money whilst raising your blood pressure. The staff have no idea what they are doing and this is the THIRD time they have given me the wrong order because they are not reading the orders correctly because they are on their phones constantly. What business allows their staff to have their phones while working in a busy store?? It is unorganised and they are completely incompetent in what they do. They are badly trained and have no concept of Customer service, it's a disgrace, don't waste your money.

Order 2 burritos and they were terrible! Specifically said no beans and add sour cream Got beans absolutely loaded with them and no sour cream!!! Won't be ordering from there again

Staying at the hotel and tried to get coffee etc for 4 late afternoon about 4p.m. Place was totally full of students with their laptops plugged into the walls. Didn't look as if any of them had bought anything to warrant them using the space and the staff seemed to do nothing.
