Delicious food and lovely staff - a hidden gem!

A real gem of a place. It’s cosy and laid back feel is great but the food and coffee is outstanding! We will be regulars here each time we visit Durham.

Went here for a pint and ended staying the whole evening. Great Karaoke evening will certainly be returning

The food is fresh and the customer service is perfect. If you wanna experience real Italian taste this is the right place for it.

An Amazing Experience at Your Turkish Restaurant! The salad was excellent and packed with a variety of fresh ingredients, especially the olives that added a delicious and unique flavor! The salmon dish was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection, and the eggplant moussaka was outstanding—melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The food overall was authentic and beautifully reflected the Turkish vibe, and the service was quick with the meal arriving piping hot. I highly recommend this restaurant to all Turkish cuisine lovers—the food is absolutely worth trying! Thank you for the fantastic quality—I’ll definitely order from you again!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were nice but dissapointed paying 5 pounds for a tiramasu that was dry and tasted like the cream had gone off

Stayed here this weekend ,i couldnt recommend it enough ,immaculate,has everything you need ,lovely on site coffee bar and restaurant ,the staff all went that extra mile ,perfect

This was fabulous. My pancake stack was superb - the pancakes are light and fluffy and extremely delicious. The full English was equally as good. Add in the friendly service and warm “everyone’s welcome” vibe and you have the perfect Friday breakfast experience

Food is good but made to wait for a couple of pieces of tofu to be cooked when ask just to make up the difference with pumpkin they said it would be a extra £1.50 there staff need to be allowed to make decisions by them selves and be allowed to just make up the difference it’s not unreasonable

The food here was very good. I really love the pistachio latte, simply one of the best. 6 stars mostly for nostalgic reason. But the vibe was very good. The setting was very nice and comfortable. The waiter and waitress were attentive. Good location too.

I was searching for lunch in Durham and Vennel's was recommended. Lovely quaint spot with a lot of character. I had a good toasted sandwich and a cold drink. Also dog friendly.

Really nice spot on the riverfront, and the flexible design-your-own-pizza made it easy to get a tasty vegetarian pizza. Our waiter, Thomas, was great, very flexible and helpful and helped get the food to us as quick as he could despite a 25+ person table ordering! Worth returning to.
