Never felt so unwelcome! The pavilion became a place to meet up with friends, have nice food and enjoy wine! The last two times me and my friend have met up we have been practically pushed out the door. We are never noisy, always polite, we pay the scandalous Ā£20 a bottle for the house wine which we have around 3/4 bottles between us. Yet by 8.40pm they are clearing our table, donāt ask if we want dessert or another bottle (I would understand if we were slirring our words or showing sign of being drunk) we were basically told it was time to leave. The restaurant was very quiet but yet they didnāt want our custom. Unfortunately we wonāt be back!

What a great Sunday Lunch we had in the Miners. Ample amounts of every constituent contained in the meal. The chicken was succulent with an amazing stuffing mix which is a meal in itself. Delicious. The veggies were very well cooked. They were fresh and with the few roasted potatoes and a lovely mashed potato included also, it made for a exemplary lunch. A nice team of waiting on staff were evident, working well around the many diners. The place itself is cosy, tradional , warming and comfortable. We had a very nice , relaxing time in there. It is worth visiting as I am sure you will like it if you give it a try.

We were a group of four couples who dropped in for a drink on our walk. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. We didn't eat there but the Sunday lunches looked amazing (next timeš) after a couple of drinks the ladies decided to walk back leaving the men to have another pint š«£. Anyway I think it was the lovely landlady who ended up dropping them back in Romaldkirk village. That is superb customer service. So a big thank you from the four old codgers xxxx

Aside from some great marketing and un verified ratings the food choice was acceptable, service was over shadowed by some regular guests social interaction with staff members which could easily be misconstrued as a mother's meet and greet session, first visit left an everlasting impression, plenty to work on.
