Service was excellent, lovely friendly team who smiled all the time. Scones were awesome, vanilla latte was one of the best and earl grey was delightful.

Talum on reception is brilliant and more then helpful what a lovely site i have been here many times last year Ruth who runs the clubhouse will certainly go the extra mile to ensure you have a great time I would highly recommend to stay here friendly site and great people who run it

El hombre que tomó nuestra orden limpió los baños con un paño. Luego limpió las mesas del restaurante con el mismo paño. Nunca se lavó las manos y decidió recoger bandejas de pepinillo. La comida era tan mala. Debe ser higiene de 1 estrella. No vayas.

The cafe was lovely, very warm and inviting. The food online looks great, it was the perfect pit stop for our travels. The only thing i would say is the portions are quite small, i had the pictured salad and would’ve liked a little something more but the falafel was beautiful.

Canny "plaice" to go for a nice fishy. Tea time special worth the money and they do proper chips to perfection! 😁

Hopefully this will be seen bye the owner, being coming to the restaurant for 18years. but to day we came in for Sunday lunch very poor ordered lasagna , spaghetti Bolognese and beef dinner not 1 meal was nice this is not the usual standard of this restaurant not sure what went wrong and was not ask once how our meal was

Sunday lunch, plenty of beef, 4 veg , new and roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding and tasty gravy, spot on and very reasonably priced (cheap if anything but quality with it) Highly recommended

Current favourite stopover place in the uk. Everything was great. Try to travel down the east coast as an excuse to stay the night.

Awful omelette. I asked not to have the chips served with an omelette and salad for £9:00 Still paid £9:00 for small salad with two fried eggs…not even combined, completely flat, crisp edges….the last thing you would describe as an omelette. Requested salad dressing ‘don’t have any’ was the answer. Small pot of mayonnaise was begrudgingly given after we requested it. Whole place smelt overwhelmingly of frying. Poor dale if it can’t summons up better food than this.
