No sé qué ha pasado pero la comida ha cambiado. No es tan bonito como solía ser, y platos han cambiado. Es una pena, siempre ha sido mi favorito chino.

This shop is absolutely disgusting how they treat customers they don't listen to orders I pacifically said no mushrooms they got driver to drop it off mushrooms was all over the sausages bacon and eggs when I stated I was allergic to them. They then shut shop straight away so couldn't ring up and complain also every number they have on Google to contact them is not an existing number. Just eat has refused my money back and there is no way of contacting this company who are clearly not taken their orders seriously. Can I actually have someone contact me from shop has I would like to know why loads mushrooms was put all over my food when clearly says no mushrooms so I could not eat any of my breakfast has they put mushrooms all over the meat so could you please contact me so we can stop your workers from doing it to others and ripping people off

Very clean and very welcoming. Very good freshly made food and complimentary service. Easy parking and worth support.

Just bought a pitman's pies Corned beef and it was like eating baby food purée, not a great experience and definitely not what I expected from a local company that should know what a cornbeef pie should be, couldn't eat the mush.

Food was excellent served quickly and with a smile. Just a wee gem of a place and made to feel very welcome

While in Barnard Castle, we decided to order haddock and chips x2. Big mistake!! The chips were inedible, burnt and hard. The fish, well batter was overdone and hard and the so called haddock was disgusting, I've caught and eaten many haddock but never tasted anything like this. All ended up in the bin and had to find an alternative for tea. Avoid at all cost!!

Presumably this is now “Helen’s Pizza’s” (sic) of the same address in Horsemarket. We tried to order by phone but the phone rang out. We walked over to the shop and were told that we should have phoned first. When we explained that nobody picked up the phone we were told that it was because they were too busy! We should have quit there and then but it was getting late and there were not too many alternatives. We placed our order and were told that it would be 40 minutes. 40 minutes later the order was not ready and we were told another 15 minutes. Over 20 minutes later our order was produced. This shop needs some serious management. As it turned out the 12 inch pizzas (bolognese, meat feast, margharita and vegetarian) were very good and lasted for dinner and lunch the next day but it was such a hassle to order that we might not bother another time.

Well we have been here loads of times and has always been good. Went today Fri 29th March 2024, Ok it’s Good Friday but you would think they would be prepared. After a bit of a wait watching people get served that came in after us, a waitress came over and took our order but there was only small fish and no large, well call me a conspiracy theorist but the small fish was half a large fish so where were they getting the small fish from 🤔. It was plain to see that it was all to do with money as the small fish was £7 something and the large was £12 odd… so along came our meals and it was ridiculous a bit of fish 4” x 6” and about 15 chips if that. Well I’m sorry but we won’t be back ever for the sake of making an extra few quid you’ve lost two regulars… plus gave the girl a £5 tip before we got the food and she didn’t even say thanks! Shame on you

Food ok, but service very slow. Sadly we went for food and they had ran out of rice. Who really wants to eat a Thai curry with chips. Improvements needed regrading service and the noise and swearing that can be heard in the restaurant from the bar. It was like been in a bar full of sailers. Maybe a door needs putting on from the bar to restaurant? Bar staff was very slow. Repeatedly asked for menus, took 20 minutes to take our order from getting menus, restaurant was quite so would understand a little if it was busy. Food come out in dribs and drabs. My main come out 5 minutes before my husbands. These few issues need addressing and it could become a little gold mine.

Partner and I ordered takeaway (for delivery) Food came within 30 mins and was all spot on but 2 cans of pop we had ordered were missing. Called back up and manager said he would send someone out right away with them. Came within 10 minutes and the delivery lady is also lovely!😊

A great find especially when also looking for a nice walk nearby. You don’t have to ride the train to use this station tea room. Large car park, dog friendly, check opening hours - car park closes at 2.30pm Lovely, friendly lady served us with very nice coffee and cheese toasties as we sat next to the log burner. Pasties and pies looked very nice and the cakes looked so yummy we couldn’t resist having some to takeaway ( it was delicious) We can thoroughly recommend and will definitely return

We recently enjoyed a most excellent dinner at Cape to Cairo in Bishop Auckland and think this little gem of a restaurant tucked down a side road in the centre of town deserves the highest praise. We received very personal and attentive service from the owner who couldn't have done more to ensure our experience was a truly memorable one. The menu is full of very interesting dishes and prices are extremely reasonable - it was hard to know what to choose - and we were more than delighted with the Durban curry, Cape Burger and Chicken four ways. We also thoroughly enjoyed an impromtu bonus performance by a Zimbabwean A cappella group - truly amazing! We will certainly remember our visit to Cape to Cairo very fondly. Thank you very much!
