Was out yesterday for a drive and decided to find somewhere to eat and we weren't disappointed. Fantastic food with a relaxing atmosphere..The staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely not to feel rushed, so we were able to enjoy our meal and I had a cuppa..The sunday lunches were tasty and hot, I had half a chicken ( eyes too big for belly lol ) and my partner had the beef which was falling apart it was that succulent plus it was very affordable. Would definitely go back. Lovely clean loos too.
We all really enjoyed our meal and came out really fast! We would of loved some more peri peri salt on the chips. The service was great and the staff were lovely!
I must say that I was really disappointed. I ordered a shellfish paella which cost £19. It came in a small bowl. The rice was a sticky long grain rice with no rich colour to it. It had some shellfish in but it was so bland. It didn’t even look like a paella. Very disappointing. Staff were lovely but sadly I won’t be going back.
Terrible customer service. No communication. Ordered delivery & paid, waited and waited but it never came. Ring to find out they have cancelled my order but couldn't be bother to tell me. Turns out they don't deliver 5 mile only 3 mile radius so not sure why they took the order or my money... (which I still haven't got back yet) waited an hour before I called them and found this out, if I hadn't we would of probably still been waiting as they had no intention of telling us. Absolute joke of a restaurant and My 6 year old is now starving
Service and everything is more then perfect for a dessert place 😀
I don’t know whats all this hate for the managers and the staff where you can tell as soon as you walk in there how friendly everyone is .
Please try to keep all this fake reviews for yourself as it looks clearly conflicts of interest . Real costumers know that Ice stone gelato Middlesborough is the best in town !
Keep it up with hardwork guys , If a group of stupid people wants to put you down means that you are doing way better then all of them 🤩👏
Absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Food is 10/10 and service was exceptional. I was served by Molly who absolutely amazing and made my experience unbelievably lovely!!! She was very attentive and friendly. I will be returning to try more on this gorgeous menu

Orderd food on just eat then the delivery time changed then it was over 1 hour late from delivery time food looked undercooked it was freezing called shop multiple times to be told it’s on its way then the delivery driver may as well off shot the food at me will never order again
It was embarrassing how poor the face to face customer service was today. I don’t know if something had happened between the staff but really poor to the point of no acknowledgement or words at all.
Terrible, never again. I ordered an eggs benadict, costing 8.50. I’m vegetarian and it wasn’t advertised as having meat (pork bacon) i wasn’t advised when purchasing and advised the young waitress that we wasn’t aware when the food arrived, she offered to remove the just the bacon and give us the remaining item, I advised no due to dietary requirements (halal). The waitress went back and spoke to the manager who advised her that I would need to purchase again if I wanted a new one without bacon. I turned it away and didn’t purchase a new one. I went back to speak to the manager. she was sorry and if she was our waitress then she wouldn’t have charged us. I saw the young waitress asking her at the time, however the manager apologised and offered to give us a new eggs Benedict, I advised no, as we’re finished and had to head home. She said next time we come she would give us one - free of charge. I advised I would not be returning. Absolute terrible service. Customer service was appalling. Please avoid. Overpriced food.
It all started badly when we couldn't find the place!. When we did, the door was locked! Went for a short walk but still locked when we got back. Fortunately, someone came out and I was informed they didn't open until 19.00 which was strange as we had an afternoon tea booked for 17.15! We were taken inside and deposited in the bar downstairs (TS1). Profuse apologies and a drink on the house whilst they tried to get things sorted.( I don't know who was measuring the drinks but I got a quadruple whisky!). The manageress was summoned from home and arrived about half an hour later. We were offered another drink but I declined (post whisky).
They explained that they are having significant problems with the on-line booking system. Another 15 minuutes and we were taken upstairs to Alchemy. A small room with tables round the outside and barrels in the centre. Quite small, probably only seats 20-24.
The door has a key-code which I didn't really grasp the significance of ( other than to keep the hoi-polloi out. (You must remember he code when going to the loo!!)
Cocktails were fine , with a decent choice) and the afternoon tea was also adequate but there was a certain lack of atmosphere as we were the only two in ( others came in post 19.00)
Further apologies and another free cocktail made our evening. I would like to thank the manageress and the young lady on the bar downstairs for going beyond the call of duty to try to rectify the booking error.
Looking at it from the point of view of a "normal" evening ( ie ignoring all the freebies), I think it was still very good value for money (Groupon) and I am certainly thinking of returning (post 19.00!!!)
(Tip - you can probably access Alchemy via the main bar - TS1)
