Now called Grand 360, no longer Blue Ginger. From one week to the next the food went from good, to in the bin. Couldn't eat it, was completely different food. And tasted horrid, poor quality, the only upside was the smaller portions - as less in the bin. AVOID at all costs, plenty of other places in Poynton to get a curry from.

We joined friends for lunch in the main restaurant. Our friends had enjoyed the golf course and spa during their short stay at the hotel. We all ordered soft drinks with lunch. At first we were given a broken glass, when we informed staff it was replaced with a dirty glass. We were given glasses that you might find in a junior school in the 1970*s. Perhaps suitable in a cafe in Manchester's Northern Quarter but not in keeping with the surroundings of the hall. We ordered a light lunch. Some salads, antipasti...gravlax salmon. The individual meals arrived to the table at different times. All the food was considerably disappointing. We recognise and appreciate god food but what we were served was far from it. Nothing was fresh..the salmon smelt as if it was going off, the salad was definitely off. The antipasti looked like it was from a supermarket packet and we were told it was suitable for two people to share. Thoroughly disappointed with the standards of the hotel. After taking in the stunning view over Cheshire from the main door which staff and guests were huddling around while having a cigarette we walked back through the hotel corridors to the main upper hotel car park. We found the standard of hygiene to be severely lacking. It was difficult to know if anyone was in charge. It was brilliant to see friends we hadn't seen for such a long time in a wonderful location but everything else was shambolic.

We went to this restaurant last August for lunch and the food was amazing with hardly any waiting time. However, we decided to try for lunch again this weekend and the difference was upsetting. I stood in the queue behind five or six people and there was a chalkboard with "30 minutes wait for food" written on it. Okay so 30 mins, not too long to wait, but as I moved down the queue it got updated to 40 minutes then 60 minutes. No way is it acceptable to wait 60 minutes for food! The tea would have been cold after 15 minutes. Would they have replaced with a fresh pot. I don't think so. This is such a joke to expect people to wait for an hour for a meal. Come on STRIKES. Get more staff, you must be able to afford it. Shall not be back until they improve the waiting times.
