The best restaurants in Cheshire West and Chester North West

Last time we went to Sir Charles was in winter lashing down with rain. Walking into warm open fire set the mood then, fast forward to this vist. Beautiful summers evening taking a friend along as he is a great food lover. Sitting in garden enjoying the summers evening choosing our food and dinning outside. Food was faultless thank you very much to the team.

Visited on News Years Day evening, not a very comfortable restaurant to sit on, v noisy, menu as online, food was good, v tasty calamari and pasta dishes BUT we felt that for the quality and quantity of food it was overpriced (over £100) and we left dissatisfied and still a little hungry. We will not recommend nor revisit

Lovely 1 night stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. Spa facilities were brilliant. We have 2 children under 12 years old and they loved the pool. Dinner in Redmond's was absolutely stunning. Wonderful food and great service. Breakfast was also very good. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend

Great place to eat and drink by the canal side

Very good staff and good breakfast. Nice spa. The one thing to be aware is that if your room is in the annex (building with the spa) on the street side, it is quite loud with cars in the am.

Lovely Carvery had here today. Everything nice and fresh. Friendly atmosphere and great service

Food always excellent from Fry Inn.

Half the menu was not available and was very limited I ordered what I thought was steak and ale pie, it was served warm not hot and i couldn't find any meat in the pie what so ever, even the chips were pale and hard definitely undercooked I was very disappointed and expensive, I don't think I will visit again

Their cappuccino is the best - perfect.

As we were staying in the hotel we decided we would try the restaurant as it looked very nice. Unfortunately very disappointed with the food I ordered the burger which was very pink in the middle and not cooked enough and the chips were so salty they were inedible. On clearing the table the waiter asked if everything was ok and although I said no nothing was offered to rectify this. So no we won’t be returning again!

Clean rooms, comfortable beds. friendly staff, good location and a tasty breakfast. The parking at £20 per night is expensive, but it's a secure underground carpark. The mobile phone signal was also very patchy. However, I would happily stay here again.

When we pulled up it looked amazing, the first greeting was lovely, then we went to the bar knowing we couldn't use the spa till 1, when in the bar the lady in there didn't know what the food were that they were servicing and couldnt describe what Italian toast was (just toast with herbs) to go with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil she kept saying it's a spread. Then we went to the spa the greeting were frosty and just handed a towel and looked like they couldn't be bothered. My husband went out later realizing we should have a robe and asked for one and her response were "let me see if there is one in the back" handed them over, with no flip flops (only something small but everyone had them) There were a lot of male lockers that were not in service. Then went to the treatment waiting area we arrived 10 mins early and the therapist arrived 5 mins late (our treatment should of started at 3) so by the time she had a full conversation with the safe at reception she looked at us called the wrong name then went back took more time for who she needed then when finally got took off for the treatment and asked about allergies etc we were already 15 mins into our treatment time so we only got 25 mins instead of the 40 mins that we paid for. The room were amazing absolutely no fault bed comfortable bathroom lovely. Then went for our evening meal the food were outstanding honestly a massive pat on the back to the chef. But ..... The service delivering it werent the best they asked us at the begining of we wanted a drink but then only asked at the end of we wanted another we where there for a hour and half. Plates where Sat on the table for a good 30 mins I had to promote them by asking for a dessert menu as no one seemed to come over and ask if we wanted anything else, the restaurant only had us 2 a group of 6, a family of 4, and 2 other couples in (it was empty really) so the service was really slow. Overall service not the best. Would I come back probably not, would I recommend it probably not unless the staff have training in smiling and going that bit further to make customers feel welcome

Had a good stay. Typical Prem. Pub next door did decent food. Jess on reception was really helpful.

Cracking food this evening. Lovely attentive service. Proud that Hartfords Bella Chime is joining the eatery options we have local. It’s always a pleasure to have a couple to choose from.
