We ate lunch here on one of the coldest days in November. The welcoming was as warm as the log fire blazing in the dining room. Unusually, the inn was fairly quiet, the icy roads no doubt preventing some people from travelling. Our waitress was extremely helpful, and we enjoyed a leisurely lunch. There were a couple of real ales at the bar. The menu is varied and imaginative. All the food was well presented and flavoursome. We ended up having all three courses, it was so good. Not cheap, is anywhere? but good value. Highly recommended.

Rented three separate rooms - The Coachhouse, The Lodge and the Piggeries, for one night stay prior to our daughter’s wedding the following day. The rooms and facilities were fabulous and the hosts were absolutely superb. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We dined in the pub that evening and the food was just superb, as again were the hosts. Our dog came along too and he was offered treats and a drink!! Highly recommend.

I made the 40 mile journey through the ribble valley to sample their famous steak puddings…absolutely delicious, the meat was just melt in your mouth, the rest of the food was fantastic, onion rings to die for !! Portions were huge, managed some of my sweet that was also superb, was literally bursting on the drive home but very happy indeed, highly recommended and the staff and service was also second too none, 100% will return again..thanks

We had a superb meal on Thursday splashing out on full 8 courses and extremely glad we did. We added the wine flight and again it was wonderful. I couldn’t pick one course over any others, they were all amazing. Dining in the Ribble Valley you are spoilt for choice, but the atmosphere and service from start to finish and the portion size was spot on, and we are sure to be back. And it’s all very fairly priced too. We were also very lucky enough to have Nigel Haworth himself cooking for us, as we were told he often does, and he even had a chat with a few tables after service including ours which was a genuine treat, topping off brilliant evening. Such a nice man and an amazing restaurant .

The Eagle has an excellent roomy restaurant. However, the roast dinners we're served on cold plates, and the food was barely warm. The two men in our group had meals off the menu, which were served on what we considered side plates - very disappointed!
