The best restaurants in Ribble Valley North West

The food here has always been tasty and perfectly cooked. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. Great atmosphere and comfortable seating. My family came for our annual meal. We ordered in advance, but I noticed other tables were ordering once they arrived and didn’t have to wait long for their food. It made our Christmas meal perfect.

This is an amazing looking hotel, which we have enjoyed visiting a couple of times. Our room was lovely, overlooking the river and the reception hall is stunning. However, the food we were served was, at best very poor quality. The starter was described as pan fried King Scallop for £14.95 was intriguing, as it hadnt been pan fried and wasnt a King Scallop. What appeared to be re-heated and/or microwaved fish followed as the main course. Very poor indeed. We ate here as part of a package of bed, evening meal and breakfast, and we felt really short changed. On reflection, I would stay here again, but not eat here. The Aspinall Arms, just across the road is a much better place for food. Overall, fancy prices, fancy menu but the food was very, very disappointing.

Went here for a funeral recently and all OK, atmosphere seemed fine, but got to admit, having to sort putting your car information in due to car park isn't the best thing to do when you've just arrived back from a funeral. This may be due to a private company owning the car park, but as a small village it seemed a little out of the ordinary when street offer 2 hours.

Visited on New Years Eve. Place was very full, even at 3pm but full of atmosphere. The food was very good (shame Fillet Steak was off the menu). Service was excellent, all the staff were very friendly, especially Lucy our waitress, who deserves special mention, for her vibrant, friendly, charming and efficient service. The whole meal was delightful and we will be returning next year with even more family members as we enjoyed it so mush.

We stopped here for some lunch after a walk along the tolkien trail. The staff were really lovely and the service was fab. And the sandwiches were very tasty too 😊 Maybe a bit on the pricey side but very enjoyable meal overall!

I had the pepperoni pizza from Romero Original, and it was absolutely amazing! The crust was perfectly crispy, the pepperoni was flavorful, and the overall taste was just delicious. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you're craving a great pizza experience!

Absolutely terrible After 2 minute drive home chicken probed at 12 degrees. Limp cold fillets Chips ok but had a bit of a old fat taste Definitely gone down hill recently. Use to be our go to take away. Now our stay away from take away

Appalled to find most of the staff not wearing face masks,only one female member of staff was exempt.Considering the infection rate is rising , particularly in the north west I find this extremely worrying.

We all had lovely food that was served nice and hot. Very good value for money. I would definitely go again for lunch or dinner.

Excellent Christmas dinners had by all, juicy turkey, goose fat roasties and the veg was cooked perfectly. Had the creamy garlic mushrooms with vol-au-vent pastry to start, delicious and as always excellent service.

The food was great overall, the chicken wings weren’t the best i’ve had but definitely not the worst. However, the service made up for it - a really polite young blonde girl called lily made our night, will love revisiting.

The Trishna restaurant has been open for quite a long time now. If I am being absolutely honest I never used to be a fan of their food. Recently however it seems it has undergone massive change. The food now is truly a match for any Indian you could name - that includes the well known Shajan on Longsight road

We always visit kaspas when we are in the area. We love the desserts there is plenty of choice on the menu. It is lovely & clean staff are brilliant can't do enough to help when your placing your orders. See you next time when we are in preston.

We had a lovely fresh toastie and a delicious bacon barm with excellent coffee (latte and a flat white) - it was all soooooo nice! Lovely friendly and professional staff, from the easy and pleasant ordering experience (from a really delightful new member of staff - gr8 job!!), to top notch/quick service and VERY enjoyable eating :-) We highly recommended this cafe, and would like to thank everyone there for making it such a nice visit. We will definitely be back 👍 x
