The best restaurants in Sefton North West

Service was exceptional from start to finish. We were greeted with a warm welcome and then looked after by a young lad with glasses who was very attentive, he recommended a dish that was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be going back!

Late. Driver went to wrong road. Took three phone calls to find us ( correct adress on app ) Food was stone cold. Gutted. I was looking forward to this all week !

Brilliant festive party night as per usual!! King prawns, turkey (loads and moist), and brûlée all top notch. Great atmosphere and service was fab considering it was packed to the rafters. Booked for Elvis in Jan to cheer the new year up. Thanks to the gang.

Just got back from having a gorgeous lunch at the Monk. OMG, took the plunge & had one of the garlic bread sandwiches, I had meatball marinara, my son had steak fajita- so we swapped 1/2 each & got to try both. What a good choice we made, they were absolutely amazing!!! They came with some waffle fries, but I had already decided I wanted some loaded fries & the Mexican were bonkers good!! My husband had king prawn ramen noodles - the portion was huge, and he said they were absolutely delicious 😋🍤🍜 All in all, one of thee best meals we have had in ages, The Hungry Monk never fails to deliver. Thank you to all the lovely staff today (December 23rd) and a very merry Christmas to you all 🎄🎅🏻💜

Had a fabulous meal this evening with work. The lamb was an absolute delight! Our waitresses Shemeen and Ellen were very attentive and a credit to the restaurant.

The Swan had been recommended to us by a friend and we weren`t disappointed. My missus is from Yorkshire and a result knows a thing or two about fish and chips. One of her big complaints, is that you can`t get fish and chips in the North West, like you get in Yorkshire. I`m very happy to say that the Swan fish and chips passed the " Yorkshire Test " with flying colours, especially the fish, which was given a 10/10. However, apart from the food being really good and great value, what lifts the Swan above other places, is the fact that he staff are so genuinely nice and friendly. Even though it was our first visit, we were treated like regulars and made our meal all the more enjoyable and really makes for a very happy atmosphere within the place. Good service and good food are what keeps people coming back. 10/10 from us.

came here today after i enjoyed my last meal i had here and food was not good i had taken out what i didnt like and was charged to take out the food ontop of eating in and whatever paper tat they put the food in had made everything spill all over the place rediculous also OVERPRICED

Average fish for the price. No difference between small chips n large just the box sizes . Only just warm when we got home 2 min away .

We have been visiting this place for Sunday lunch, for afternoon drinks and snacks. Nice, homely atmosphere in the restaurant, tables for eating dinner and very comfy leather sofa areas for sitting to enjoy a drink, some nibbles or afternoon tea. Afternoon teas should be booked in advance. Sunday roast was plenty, veggies nicely cooked not to hard, not to soft and nice presented. Also appetizers are well presented. You have to place your order at the bar, but food will be served. Outside the hotel are car park options, also on the road. You should register your registration with the receptionist to avoid parking tickets. Toilettes are clean and tidy. Hotel is close to the beach and in the begin of a street full of beautiful old cottages and a nice park area.

This is a fantastic little gem 💎 of a pub. The beers on offer are top notch and the bar staff are both friendly and amazing. Shall certainly be back in here when I visit Southport again in January.

I’m so sentimental and nostalgic about the lovely Bistrot Vérité! I love it so much! Whenever I visit my friends in Lancashire, we always come here; it’s just so perfect for great times, fab friends and delicious food. It’s in the cutest village with rows of twinkling fairy lights. The restaurant has such great ambiance, smiles and laughter and the most welcoming staff. It’s just the hugest treat with the most sensational food and is the most perfect setting for the very BEST of times.
