The best restaurants in Stockport North West

Had an excellent carvery lunch, a brilliant selection of meats and vegetables and had a glorious chocolate and cherry tart/torte. The staff are friendly and very attentive.

Oh dear! A disastrous Christmas day lunch. Waited 2 and half hours. Only had starter. Manageress was understanding when we left, lack of staff. But we all(lots of people waited and gave up) should have been informed of this on arrival.

We went for lunch today 4 of us and was advised 30-35 min wait on food , After 35 mins , 1st plate came, 5 mins later 2nd plate came , with fries each for with sandwiches, waited 10 mins then asked where are the sandwiches. Sandwiches came another 15 min later, all food eaten before hand. Needed to ask for it to go as we were needing to leave. No apologies for such a delay.

Food so good I went back two nights in a row. Whilst the menu may be small and they only have three evenings a week that they're open, this was a great spot for an evening dinner with my partner. We had 6 small plates between us which was plenty of food. Portions are a good size and of good variety. Even 'simpler' dishes like the olives were excellent. The Sausage Roll, Sea Bass, and Goats Cheese were the standout dishes, although it's difficult to not list them all. It is a shame that we were one of two tables for the majority of our time, the other clearly being either friends of the owner, or the owner themselves. For a small venue it did suffer a little bit for a lack of energy that other diners would bring. The lady that served us was brilliant; she was very friendly, just the right amount of attentive, and created the best latte art I've seen in years, as well as a delicious cocktail. The only downside to the service was the staff member who was wearing a full tracksuit. I was surprised to find out he was staff when he asked how our food was. He seemed exceptionally unenthusiastic and spent much of his time vaping in the front entrance. Despite the other member of staff attending our table perfectly, it felt that he needed to ensure she was doing a good job by checking on us himself, twice. This is a place that I intend to regularly come back to for the food and drink, perhaps not too often though as it will be easy to exhaust all of the options they have on the menu. Perfect for someone visiting the town or looking for something new to try.

The food was not complying with the good service, expensive for what I ve had.

I ordered pizza via uber eats I ordered 2 pizzas on offer they send just one and quality taste presentation was very bad and they are very pricey too overall very bad experience with them will never order again

I'm not a great lover of Indian food, but I do enjoy the food here. Been a number of times, staff are always very friendly and professional. I would recommend.

RUDE SERVICE!!!! Woman, could be the manager... receipt says 'served by Kez' Cannot believe the way she spoke to a customer this evening in a crowded chippy. Not worth it, won't be returning.

It's probably the best wagyu burger I have ever had, only spoiled by being served on a cold plate.

Absolutely rubbish, the sausages, well if you can call them that were horrible more like hotdogs sausage, the egg so overcooked, fatty thin rubbish bacon and I asked for black pudding instead of hash brown and got the hash brown, my hubby gave me some of his black pudding, we were all dissapointed with the quality of the ingredients so sorry won't return

I have had a few mulled wines over the festive period, but this one was by far the best. It was homemade and you could definitely tell the difference. Very smooth and delicious.
