The best restaurants in Wirral North West

Very expensive for average food. Pretty miserable staff. Over-charged me for a sausage and mushroom (tiny) batch. When I politely queried it the server took my batch out of the bag, removed one of two tiny sausages and then charged me the correct price. It was very strange! Been popping in and off for years. Won’t be returning.

Excellent food and wonderful service. I had the tandoori chicken which was really succulent, followed by by chicken passander. We were a group of 8 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed thier food. Worth pointing out they dont serve alcohol. It didn't bother us as the food was so good.

Love this place. The service is exceptional, the food worth every penny, and the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed. The way they work the space between tables means it never feel crowded even when full making dining very pleasurable. Go!!

Having received a Pub co. Gift voucher, we decided on the Caernarvon Castle, as my partner uses it occasionally and enjoys it there. Despite being Christmas Eve, the whole meal was thoroughly enjoyable and the pub wasn't too busy. Staff were efficient and attentive. My only gripe was the lack of real ale, but I understand this us the norm for Greene King houses.

Had another lovely meal at Portofino. We were seated opposite the sea view. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is serene, a lot of effort has been made to create an authentic Italian feel. The food as always was top quality, a taste sensation and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone for romantic dining or even with the family or work fucntions. Tip- Make sure you order a garlic bread with cheese, it's too good not to!

A lovely little pub, and the food was delicious, I had the farmers pie of the day, (high was steak and ale), it was very juicy though I was happy for the extra gravy. The staff were really friendly, though no one asked us if we needed any condiments when we got our dishes.

Great bar - staff really friendly, food excellent and calm atmosphere. Dogs welcome.
