Had our works lunch yesterday, end result 14 happy work colleagues. Food portions were perfect. All food was bought out at the same time (last year one main was bought out 10 minutes after and some starters were cold) so we were all very impressed and the lady serving us was lovely and very attentive. Would definitely recommend

Lovely meal with my grandparents. 1 small hiccup with a missing food item was sorted quickly and professionally. We all ordered from the festive menu and very much enjoyed every last bit. We often come to the Bell for a yearly Christmas meal and the Bell never disappoints!

Me and my wife we attended a friend's party in Tring. I loved the easy location, spacious and so close to A41. We booked a Premier Inn plus and we had a room with a nice view, powerful shower, clean and fresh. Coffe machine Is a plus we enjoyed a lot with refills available at reception.

Such a shame that Charlie is giving up. Have enjoyed his food for 30 years in harpenden then Aston Clinton. It has always been good. I understand Charlie's brother may continue in the kitchen for a while, as a handover to the new owner. I hope the new restaurant will be supported as good chinese restaurants are far and few between.

I went in first and didn’t get seated for 15 mins even though there was no customers yet staff mingling about. Left and came back hour later. Paid 17 pounds for the worst burger I’ve ever eaten. This is the first time I’ve ever left a review somewhere because it was that bad.

At was absolutely awful, they had less than half of what was on the menu! Everything was Luke warm , presentation was appalling! The ladies toilets were so bad I could bring myself to use them!! I tell tell our waitress who thankfully was very sweet, felt sorry for having to tell us that the menu was very sparse!! Never again! Rubbish!

I had not been in the Bell since a Black tie New Year’s Eve party in 1970, when it boasted the finest wine cellar in Europe, owned by Gerard Manley Harris. Today’s Bell is somewhat tired by comparison, but the fire in the lounge was welcoming. This was an overnight stay to attend a 100th birthday party four miles away. The bedroom was fine, well appointed and an excellent shower. At breakfast I ordered Eggs Royale, which came with ham and not salmon, but I was in a rush, so I did nothing about it.
