The best restaurants in Brighton and Hove South East

The food was spot on and it really felt like an izakaya. The unusual chicken skewers which are typical in Japan were cool and the extensive beer and whiskey menu was good to browse; our highlight was probably the Korean cucumber. However, I can’t tell if the sticky door that kept letting a draft in added charm or would be a five minute fix that would improve the experience.

Travelled to Brighton just for this and it did not disappoint!

Absolutely great place and world class fish and chips

Really great experience, food excellent, service fine also. It was a very cold evening and in the back area it wasn’t terribly warm. The kitchen staff did a great job. Next time I’d eat at the bar!

We had a beautiful meal with great service in a lovely setting. The cooking of the steak was spot on and the sides were amazing. The best sweet potato fries we have ever had and the flavours on the salad were incredible. A great treat for our stay in Brighton.

Great food, service, wine and atmosphere, in a smart, intimate and well put together space. Highly recommended! I ate alone and was made to feel very welcome by the team - thank you!

Came for the Candle Painting workshop and it was great. Staff are so lovely and the pub itself is so cozy. Great atmosphere! Didn’t try the food so can’t rate, but the drinks were good!

The best donuts in Brighton! Really recommend, they were delicious. I had ordered 40 for a birthday party and they were ready the following day. Can't express my gratitude for the excellent service and quality!

The Well-Fermented Nestor Lasso espresso, perfectioned by Taras -- such a great place, Taras is a soul of it and it's full of charming people!
