We recently popped in for breakfast, Friday 3rd Jan, while on holiday visiting family, and honestly, it was brilliant, as always! We’ve always loved coming here, but this visit felt extra special since it was our first time bringing our 7-month-old daughter along. One thing we really loved was that they don’t have a separate kids' menu. We’re big believers in letting babies explore proper food, and this gave her the perfect chance to try lots of different, healthy options. The staff were absolutely lovely—super welcoming and so helpful when it came to picking out what might work best for her (they even helped with portion sizes!). Plus, they gave her loads of attention, which she loved! In the end, she loved everything—especially the homemade beans (she couldn’t get enough!). We’ve always recommended Off the Rails, but now we love it even more, especially knowing how great it is if you’ve got little ones in tow. Can’t wait to come back again!

It's always great to visit and buy things from the lovely range of products, made in the Far East, at the Oasis. Great eatery and best bread pudding ever. Mrs Bridges Marmalade takes some beating. Great place to get presents for Christmas. A F.

Well what a fantastic service we went for. Yes it comes with the high price tag, but when you go for a treat date afternoon and make it a special occasion its worth the splurg. We were looked after from the minute we arrived. A cute placement card to our lovely presented table. We enjoyed the prawns bowl and taco starter with the lemon sole main washed down with some fizz and cocktails. Becs and rhys went out of their way to give us top notch hospitality. The dishes had a good wait between the courses and the cocktails james made were fab. Every part of the menu was described perfectly. We will be back, thankyou

As overners we can't eat here as often as we would like but always try to get to the Cocks when on the Island. In October we had some of our family with us and the Sunday roast meals were excellent and much enjoyed. Just two of us back recently and our meals were excellent. Fish pie for my wife and the sizzler for me, really good. We made sure by booking and while we were there sadly some unbooked people were unable to get in so we do recommend booking to ensure you can get in.. Staff are friendly and efficient. Back soon and thanks to all at the Fighting Cocks.

We have been here many times over the years and looked forward to our visit again this year. What a disappointment. We had a cream tea which consisted of a pot of tea, 2 scones, butter, cream and jam. The jam and cream pots were half the size they used to be and the butter was barely there, adequate enough for one scone but certainly not two. The jug of milk supplied did not have enough milk for one cup of tea and we had to ask for extra. I do not drink tea and asked for my tea to be substituted with coffee, big mistake, it was undrinkable. Went we went to pay we were told 'cash only' and I was lucky to find some cash in the bottom of my bag. This should be made clear when you enter and before you order as a lot of people do not carry cash. Our experience was so different to every other visit we wondered if there were 'new owners' but overheard the owner telling other visitors that she had been there 17 years. Sadly will not be returning.

Went for breakfast for my 22nd birthday with my mother. I cannot praise the staff enough for their service and the most amazing breakfast that we were served . The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! At the end of the meal I was given a slice of cake on the house to take home and enjoy which was absolutely divine ! Will be back very soon and cannot recommend them enough.
