We came to visit the isle of white over the bank holiday week as the weather was so lovely and searched the cafes we wanted to visit prior to our trip. Lilly’s did not disappoint on the cake front!! They had a good variety even on a super busy day and they were delicious. The wait time was a little while but due to the amount of customers they had we didn’t mind and took our takeaway to have by the seafront (cake with a view) great customer service throughout and nice music.

Really impressed with this place, great deal on cocktails from 4 to 7pm 2 for 1 cocktails, I had jungle juice and long island ice tea both were lovley. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice & beans, the chicken was two big leg's and it was juicy and tender, the sauce had a mild kick not to spicy and really flavourful, decent portion size filled my boots. Great service too very friendly. Would definitely recommend on an evening out!

I use chessel cafe quite often as I think it has a nice feeling about the place very clean, friendly staff and nice ambience however i think the coffee is way overpriced as you only get a small pottery cup pour that into a normal cup and it wouldn't even be half full also had a toasted teacake very small and asked for some cheese to go with it was charged £1.50 for two small slices of cheese just think it's very overpriced

I usually go to Wights for fish and chips as they are excellent. However, due to upgrading, I found they were closed. The nearest fish and chip shop was Tony’s.So I thought I would give them a try.Unfortunately, due to the ridiculously small portions,I won’t be going back.I don’t see how they could charge so much for about a dozen or so chips.I had to pay an extra £2 to get enough for two people.Wights are always excellent and not swamped in grease like Tony’s.Shame.

I had a meal at the Holmwood Hotel today and was waiting for my main course carvery in a small queue when I overheard the chef being very loud, rude aggressive and abusive towards a lady guest on receiving her food. Her husband questioned the chef about his attitude and also got a barrage of abuse, the chef was unbelievably rude, aggressive and in my opinion totally out of order, her husband asked for the manager to which the chef replied that would be a waste of time as they wouldn’t do anything, the chef then threatened the customer to come outside to continue the debate. The chef had a very long beard that was not netted which was in my opinion most unhealthy. This is not the first time that me and my wife have eaten there but it most certainly will be our last.

If you go to the Isle of Wight you have to visit the lovely late night Donut Hut. It is perfect for a visit after a visit to the Chine. The litte huts have twinkly lights creating a magical atmosphere after dark. The pancakes are especially great. Highly recommended.

I recently visited Lookout Cafe and was thoroughly disappointed by the disgraceful and rude behavior of the Lady(may be owner). From the moment I walked in, it felt as though I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. The person behind the counter was dismissive and barely acknowledged my presence, making me feel unwelcome. The overall service was shockingly poor, with showing a complete lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. Even simple requests were met with eye rolls and sighs, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here, and I left feeling thoroughly disrespected. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with common decency. The man was Utterly RACIST. I couldn’t tell every bits of conversation was made here - however contacting the local council to have a decent check on them.
