We absolutely love this coffee shop! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness that makes you feel like part of the family. The staff are simply amazing—they’ve taken the time to get to know us, and now they know our go-to drinks before we even have to ask. (Talk about VIP treatment!) The vibe here is always cozy and inviting, whether you’re looking for a quiet corner to relax or a fun spot to catch up with friends. And the coffee? Perfection, every single time. You can tell they put real care into every cup. If you’re in Rochester and need a pick-me-up (or just a place to feel at home), this is the spot. We can’t recommend it enough—it’s a gem we’re so lucky to have!

Booked in for Xmas dinner and was not disappointed. Cost was normal for Christmas dinner out (£100) but that included starter, palate cleanser, full turkey dinner with the largest yorkshires I've ever seen, desert, coffee and truffles. I thought it was excellent value and perfectly cooked. There were alternative choices available - my mum had venison which looked amazing. The food was very high quality and the chefs should be rightly proud, but it was the service levels that made the difference. Attentive without being intrusive, patient and knowledgable. The young lady was especially professional and given her audience was exceptional. All in all a great Christmas lunch and a place I'd go back to in a heartbeat. Well done team Crown! 👏👏

Last week on Wednesday, New Years Eve lunchtime, my son, daughter in law and grandson, invited me to join them for lunch at your restaurant. The welcome from your staff was so friendly and the decor excellent. Although you were really busy prepping for the New Year’s Eve celebrations, nothing was too much trouble. The Service and food were excellent, cocktails superb and I can honestly say it was one of the best lunches I’ve experienced, for a very long time. Thank you. I thoroughly recommend your restaurant. Got to the door , was asked "how many in your group" [only two of us - 50 yrs old men, in smart atire starting the night] Then queationed about where we had been....place looked empty. Not seen this behaviour from doormen since the 90's..

Normally I wouldn’t write a bad review, but the experience was really awful and I wanted to share it. I hope they will improve after reading this. Few weeks ago me and my family went to Rochester, it was a Saturday afternoon. We didn’t book any restaurants and we decided to try this restaurant. The service was very poor, the menus were dirty and ripped. I was a bit skeptical, but the kids loves tacos and we ordered. The food was poorly prepared, we asked for sauces and they arrived when we had already ate half of our dinner. Moreover, we had to ask twice for it, the sauce were placed in a plate, and the plate was incredibly dirty. When I had to use the bathroom, I walked past the kitchen and as I had to wait for it I observed the kitchen. It was a mess, dirty and I could see the ingredients all over the kitchen top uncovered and in poor condition. It was definitely a very poor experience.

Such wonderful service. We had a French waitress (i think Sandra, sorry if I got the name wrong!) but she was so friendly and made the whole experience so lovely! She is a real asset to this place!

1st class experience from making reservation to greeting on arrival, to service from waiting staff and amazing food - roast beef lunch and desserts & hot chocolate was awesome. Great experience, lovely attentive staff and great ambiance background music made for a great lunch with my sister

First time ordering from them food was nice

Nice and clean Costa with extra seating downstairs. Staff were welcoming and friendly and drinks were lovely and hot!! Will go again. Toasties were delicious 😋! And this Costa is close to the station, castle and cathedral.

We are a choir of 30 and when we were singing at Rochester Cathedral we needed somewhere to pop out to for coffee on the Sunday morning. Jaggers were brilliant - they opened slightly early for us and had everything set up so that our group could get coffee and cake and be out again within twenty minutes. It is a cosy, atmospheric place and a lovely place for a drink or a meal right beside the cathedral, and with the castle to look at.
