Not overly happy with my experience to say the least. We booked a room for one night for 31st December, get away and celebrate New Years. On the day of the booking we travelled over two hours to the New Forest, exploring, visiting some stunning locations, a spot of lunch only to receive a phone call at 3pm (an hour before check in at 4pm) to say that they can no longer accommodate our booking and do not have a room for us. No explanation was given as to why this had happened and no real apology was given. The place seemed to instantly wash their hands of us and when asked about payment and refunds it was palmed off to Booking.com. Of course everywhere else in the vicinity was fully booked or extremely expensive so it was game over. Happy New Year.

We were recommended to come here by friends & I can’t fault anything at all. A fantastic experience from start to finish, lovely staff and the food! Wow - we started with the sharing board, the range and amount of food was incredible, definitely a must try!! I had the duck and my partner had the turkey. The duck was a taste explosion like I’ve never experienced before and the sauce was out of this world. The orange shined through. If there is one thing you need to try, it’s the duck! Will definitely be coming back, and definitely recommend to all! There is something on the menu for everyone and the staff are fabulous.

Possibly the worst sandwich I have ever tasted. I can only describe the bread as poor quality thin sliced white bread, the cheese could not be seen, there was a generous amount of caramelised jam! over priced at £6.50! The tea was reasonable. The cakes looked nice.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience! The food was not only delicious but the service was also top-notch. The team went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. I was particularly impressed by how they handled dietary requirements — they catered effortlessly to the allergy. It was clear they genuinely cared about accommodating all guests. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a memorable meal with thoughtful service!

Truly awful - and no suitable toilets. The food we were served was below average, the coffees were unfortunately not good at all. The service from the woman running the cafe was disgraceful. She seemed off from the outset, and was downright rude in the end after one of our group was reduced to tears by her behaviour. Most importantly the toilet was not suitable for visitors to use, you have to squeeze through the kitchen which is open to the seating area to get to the toilet, which is extremely close to where food is being prepared and completely inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues. The toilet door did not shut, so the woman who runs the cafe had to slam shut another door in order for there to be any privacy (and any level of hygiene), which then resulted in one of our party being trapped inside the toilet unable to get out. When another member of our party was eventually able to force the door open from the outside and the person who was trapped was understandably shaken at the experience, the women running the cafe had the nerve to tell her to calm down, and then denied having said anything at all. All in all it was a horrendous experience, no redeeming features - this unfortunate situation could have been helped with a kind manner but instead was made much worse. Avoid. We will be making a formal complaint to the food standards agency. A bizarre and upsetting experience!

Very slow service as it was at tge table. Had Chicken with Lyonnaise Potatoes which was very nice. Chicken very succulent however the Sauce was cold so unable to enjoy it and a handful of green verns which were lukewarm. Didn't want to say anything incase they did something to the food. It's a shame.

We had an excellent roast dinner lunch. The foods was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub had a wonderful atmosphere with great ales on tap I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit, enjoy. The pork cackling was the best I have ever experienced, all the food was divine. There are veggie options as well.

Absolutely superb experience all round. We were a group of 6 and had chosen the hotel for a family lunch as it was easy to find, easy to get to, accessible for the infirm and located half way between Woking and Poole. We were all blown away by our experience. Super surroundings, the hotel had such a lovely feel to it and was so warm and cosy. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. We had lunch in the conservatory which had lovely views and provided us with privacy too. The food was excellent, tasty, beautifully presented and incredible value. The menu was really well balanced and included plenty of local fare. 5 stars all round. We will return! Thank you.
