The best restaurants in Rother South East

The Sunday roast tastes home cooked and the fireplaces are warm and inviting. There is a pub garden at the rear with a kids play area and swing set. Enjoy the atmosphere of the ancient building

I like Kerry's, we haven't been in ages, but I do enjoy the staffs company. I enjoy it's more calming atmosphere. I do enjoy the Hot Chocolate so thankyouuu!

Coffee shop located inside Tescos. Seems to suffer problems with its dishwasher they have an official sign printed to state it’s out of order. Staff seemed more interested in preventing people sitting down from 1 O’clock on a Sunday. Did have the misfortune to go there for a coffee once and find due to a problem with their machine no coffee was available. Shame I never knew before my 2 mile walk to get there.

I didn't stay in their rooms, but I expect that they would be to a fantastic standard.

New Years Eve meal out with my lovely husband . I had Justin's chicken and chorizo pie, it was amazing, thank you Justin! 👍😁

We had a delicious dinner here in a nice atmosphere and the service was very friendly. The food was good, but some of it was grilled a bit too ambitiously - especially the side dishes. The dessert, chocolate orange sundae, was great. Unfortunately, several of our selected dishes were not available.

Lovely welcome, hearty mains and we were tempted by dessert as well. Well kept beer. Staff were friendly and helpful. We booked which is advisable at the weekend. This was our second visit and wont be our last.

I don't want to give a bad review to a family owned restaurant. But there was so much wrong with this place that is easily fixed. The staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving and while we were there there were 2 tables full of dirty plates and cups that stayed that way the entire time while the staff enjoyed chatting. If I am eating in with sandwiches and a salad I don't really want to eat out of takeaway containers, the least that can be done is to put it on or give us plates. The food offering is mediocre at best and nothing of any substance that is hot. It is like no real thought has been put into what is being offered, for example soggy croutons with salad, basic would not be difficult to offer soups etc. Overall pretty poor TBH

Great place to get Chinese from lovley food also they give you alot of food usually you don't finish it all unless you are starving

(Review of pub only) Stopped here on a whim for a quick lunch after picking up a weary traveler from the nearby train station. Very comfortable, stripped down and rustic pub interior. Said traveler enjoyed his bacon toastie immensely. Service was prompt and friendly throughout. No complaints!
