The best restaurants in South Oxfordshire South East

We loved this tiny spot in town. Great flavor selection and choice of cones and waffles. There are also pint and quart sizes to go. Pricey but worth every bite. Wish it were open later in the day!

Good portion to me. I order Salt & Pepper Squid, Crispy Chilli Beef and special fried rice, it's absolutely delicious!

The Bird In Hand is the name given to the bar inside the large marquee at Chinnor Rugby Club, which also serves the benches alongside one side of the pitch. Club members get a 15% discount on prices, but these are pretty good for non-members as well. On our first visit we sat outside but it was a windy day ! But it was good to see the Rugby club open and hopefully they will soon be able to start playing regularly again.

We decided to try a take away from here for the first time and were certainly not disappointed. The food arrived on time, and was delivered by a very polite and friendly member of staff. The portions were a good size and we were impressed with how much meat was included. We ordered the lamb rhogan josh, butter chicken and saag aloo and they were all delicious. We'll definitely be making regular takeaway orders in the future !

Great coffee and friendly service. You can look at the vintage station and railway whilst drinking coffee. The railway preservation people are building a covered area with picnic benches. Popular with cyclists

Lovely service from the staff Sam, Jamie, Joseph and Megan. Really helpful and fast process and the food was yummy!

I wandered in because I’d just missed a bus and it was raining, having walked past often before. What a great surprise: the staff were friendly and helpful, the cafe spotless clean and interestingly decorated and the food was magnificent. I shall be going back often.

French wine bar. Dog friendly. Nice coffee. Something a bit different. We had the tarte flambee gratinee and the courgette one. And the cheese board.

This is by far the best restaurant in my area and my favourite restaurant in the world. The food is beyond incredible and the service is superb. I highly recommend everyone to eat here

UPDATE 15/12/24 Dec 23rd is their last day! Pretty darn good burger and not bad espresso from Josh. Priced to sell, seems low for a Railway Station! Support local!
