The best restaurants in Wokingham South East

Since coming back into the office we have cheered our weeks up with a Friday breakfast roll. Although there’s a sandwich shop down the road they stopped doing eggs…. Who does that 😂 anyway that meant we stumbled across Phoenix. The food is always hot, delivered well within the time and never a single mistake despite numerous items on a bulk order. Even the lovely Neil who delivers our food is a pleasure to deal with. These guys are great and I would have no hesitation recommending them

We had visited a while ago and was given very poor service, the company offered a voucher. We visited this week, the service was massively different, spoke with the restaurant Manager who was very likeable, had the rainbow salad and chicken skewer from their summer menu which was very tasty, worth a visit.

We visit on a regular basis, so have their loyalty card which gives us points on purchases then money off purchases and freebies each month. Overall we find it a little on the expensive side but everything is good quality and there is plenty of choice. The cafe is excellent with good sized portions, well cooked and usually served very quickly.

Great nice food. We tried beef with green peppers in black bean Sauce Ho Fun and chicken with Lemon sauce , both were really yummy! It was delivered wonderfully hot, and I’ll definitely be ordering again next time. Recommended!

Great vibes, friendly staff, and an excellent selection of drinks. Perfect spot for a casual night out or catching up with friends. Highly recommend

A few tables are not cleaned, and the staff is chatting to each other. Coffee was good, to be fair.

Have to say our group were quite disappointed! The food was ok, but nothing special! Service was slow even though there seemed to be plenty of staff around. At no point during the meal did anyone ask if everything was ok! Have to say we expected better than we got and probably won't go back. Bit of a shame as it was ideally situated for our group where half of us were from Henley and the rest from Woodley.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting "Nando's" yesterday evening at 7PM and let me tell you, it was an experience I won't soon forget – though I wish I could after how many drinks I had and the rude customer service I received. Upon entering, I was greeted by the unmistakable aroma of body odour and despair of cooking. The decor was a charming mix of sticky tables and lights that can give you a headache and a cozy living vibe to the place a cozy uncomfortable vibe. I decided to brave it and ordered the which promised a mountain of crispy chicken and golden fries. After what felt like an eternity (or maybe just 20 minutes), my food finally arrived. The chicken looked like it had been burned and charcoal grilled to death in the fires of Mount Doom. The skin was so rubbery and greasy and fatty I could have used it to lubricate a car engine. One bite and I was transported to a world of regret what a waste of money. The chicken inside was as dry as the Sahara Desert, and I found myself chewing endlessly, hoping to find some semblance of moisture. Spoiler alert: there was none! The chips were another story. They were cold as snow luke warm luke cold you have been warned, and had the texture of soggy cardboard. I suspect they had been fried sometime last week and left to marinate in their own sadness of saw dust not very peri peri then is it? The only seasoning they had seen was the salt from my tears. To wash down this culinary catastrophe, I ordered a soda a bottomless soda. It arrived flat and warm out of the machine, a fitting end to this tragic meal. I left Nando's with a heavy heart and an even heavier stomach, vowing never to return. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to ruin your evening out with friends or family or stereotypical loud and noisy teenagers and kids alike. And question your life choices while you look around you! Nando's located inside the town of Wokingham is the spot for you. One star, because zero wasn't an option. Thanks Nando's! Thanks Google! Vine aquí en un grupo de 11 por un cumpleaños. El servicio no era genial, no hay problemas importantes, simplemente no muy amable. La comida era normal, nada especial. El tamaño de la porción era muy pequeño, todos recibimos el menú establecido y todos nos fuimos todavía con hambre. Por lo caro que era, esperaba algo mucho mejor.

Very good place for relaxing after folk dancing practice. Pity about the absence of *dark* strong ales. Gold and light ales are not a serious drinker's cup o' tea :-)

Quite probably the worst curry I’ve ever had. We called in to order a takeaway which confused them and they didn’t apply the collection discount ! When we got the curry home it was almost cold despite actually having literally just collected it from the restaurant ourselves having waited for it to be cooked.. I had a Jafrezi which was just a greasy brown mush with tough chicken. My partner had a biryani which was completely tasteless. Cold rice - congealed greasy and tough chicken. Avoid ! If I could give zero rating I would.

Very helpful . They will make pizza just as you want . I always have thin and crispy . You can eat there with proper cutlery etc
