Closed during open hours 03.10.24 8pm Very disappointed, especially while grab friends to try new place.... Not recommended

Had a lovely day at South Devon Railway, and went into cafe for a sandwich and cup of tea, what I thought was 3 ham sandwiches turned out to be one ham two JAM none of them had any spead on the bread and the JAM as just a small amount in the middle, you couldn't see. This cost was over £14 very expensive for what it was. Will think twice before going again.☹

Walked in lovely chap greeted us with some light hearted banter .. ordered the food all cooked fresh in front of us got back to our lodge still piping hot and I’ll be honest I looked at the chips and thought these look nothing like my local chippy in the midlands . But in all honesty they was 10 times better fish Chucky and full of flavour roe fresh as you can get pies are amazing great chippy loved it would definitely go again and again

Absolutely dreadful, the man who works there is unbelievably rude, i ordered before had a dreadful experience where he actually argued with me over evidence I sent of the state of the food I wouldn’t even feed to a ferret and refused to resolve the issue. I thought I’d try again as my usual place wasn’t open and again absolutely horrific however not worth the brain numbing agony of trying to complain. I definitely know from now on to stay away from this place so no, I wouldn’t recommend.

Attended Christmas Lunch Very nice food, efficient and friendly staff. Was a large group of 17 and we were very pleased to be in our own room with lovely Christmas decorations and atmosphere

Haven’t been here in a few years. Turns out I’ve been missing out! The food was really good, I had the carvery and it was all fresh, and hot…. And tasty. I had my dog with me, a 16 month old that has never been in a pub and the staff welcomed him in with treats and a fuss. I will absolutely be going back again.

Dropped in for lunch with some friends. Good value. Nice old thatched pub. Reasonable prices. Pleasant ladies serving.

Sandra on Customer Services went above and beyond to help me yesterday when I had a problem with my phone and could not access my shopping list and my Clubcard . Excellent service ...I was very grateful
