The best restaurants in St Marychurch Torbay South West

Poor service. Rude waitress. I'm sure there was a mistake on pricing. Strange smell in restaurant making me feel nauseous. I would say more for large groups of local regulars than those who don't normally frequent here. From asking those I know, the service depends upon what day you go etc and what staff are serving, as this particular waitress has reputation as being very rude and unhelpful/ disinterested and not getting orders correct due to being distracted. ( Then blaming customer) All round very disappointed, won't ever be going again or recommending.

Really nice cafe with lovely staff. We have called in for the English breakfast a few times now, and it never disappoints.

Situated on beautiful Babbacombe Downs with a commanding ocean facing position. As locals, returning for lunch and today's special chicken wrap with dynamite sauce. Bloody lovely! Attentive and prompt service from the very pleasant crew. It never fails to arrest me how the one star reviews are often posted by those who only find the mindfulness and energy to be negative. They had a lovely little waitress years ago..all change now so we don't go anymore.I think she was called Deirdre, very friendly, the guy going the cooking was a bit miserable, we used to go a lot for breakfast ( was a good breakie) Steve Window Services 🪟 Torquay

Went in to look at the menu and what they had, showed us the menu, and told us the breakfast ended in 5 minutes. My daughter asks if they can buy a cola, and they send her to their takeaway booth outside. We sat down at their tables outside, and then one of them rushed out to say that we couldn't sit there and had to sit on the public benches because they had reservations coming in shortly. We are a customer and would have been joined by other people once they had finished beachcombing.

Well done to the team . Friendly local pub. We thought we would try to roast as have heard its good. We just it a no frills roast dinner for 2 less than £20 . Will be coming back .

Only had coffee on this occasion but saw food coming out looked lovely will be sure to return in the near future staff very friendly and although it was extremely busy they remained calm and professional and coped extremely well

My friend & I visited here last Saturday night for dinner before going to the theatre, all I can say is WOW😃🌟💫🙌😋! The service was impeccable, SO friendly, funny, welcoming & professional...simply first class (thank you Andy & Michael🤩) & the food was beyond delicious, super portions & sooo tasty & fresh. We'd highly recommend without a doubt...but book first as it gets very busy (not surprised😅). Thank you so much guys...& to the wonderful chef too🙏🌟😍.
