The best restaurants in Bradford-on-Avon South Wiltshire South West

Visited with family on a day out to Bradford on Avon. Warmly welcomed and seated straight away. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Children warmly welcomed and a very friendly, personal service. Food, tea and cakes delicious and good value. Thank you. Added to a lovely day out.

Lovely staff excellent tasty food. Good views of the river. Warm ambience. Have been hear many times never disappointed.

Best bacon and egg roll I’ve had in a long time. They also really know how to make an excellent pot of tea! Staff were also very friendly and efficient.

A great cafe with amazing cakes, light lunch and coffee. In desperate desperate need of atmosphere though. Very quiet even when full and could be transformed by so quiet music or something to create a buzz as it’s still verging on an old fashioned tea room.

We visited recently and had a window seat overlooking the Weir. Home made pasta was delicious and generous portions apart from very tiny garlic bread to start. The staff were lovely and friendly. Would have rated this 5* but for the really sticky table, even had to prise the glasses off. I’m sure would have been cleaned if I’d mentioned it.

My husband and I (American) were stranded and tired after failing to drive back to our hotel for 2.5 hours due to flooding. Trina and the staff were SO welcoming and immediately sprung into action help us problem solve. They immediately had us feeling like a part of the family & did successfully find a route home that was not closed by the floods. The drinks were reasonable and a wide selection. Would highly recommend!

Very welcome cafe in corner of the heritage Tithe Barn square, next to p Open grass area and the river walk. Good variety of drinks, cakes and excellent salad lunch. Prices are not cheap but good value. Pleasant staff.

Just had lunch at The weaving shed with a friend, first time visit.. We both had Beef & Stilton pie, chips peas and gravy! The pies were homemade and absolutely delicious, the staff were friendly and chatty.. also beautiful dog lily… will 100% visit again, maybe in the summer so can sit outside and enjoy the view..

We hadn’t visited for a while and I’d noticed a few less-positive reviews recently. However I am pleased to say the food and service was absolutely excellent as usual. I was surprised that the restaurant was fairly quiet on a Thursday evening but it’s a cosy space with seating spread across several separate areas so they manage to maintain a nice atmosphere even when it’s not busy. The service was pretty quick but we didn’t feel rushed. The food was delicious. The prices aren’t cheap but it’s worth it given the quality. We will definitely be back.

We ordered through the just eat app, our food arrived hot before the time predicted which was great. Tasted delicious and very generous portions. Only downside was that one thing we ordered was missing. Other than that it was delicious.

Excellent venue to visit had lovely meal served by very welcoming staff member. The place was very clean nicely decorated and awesome views of the canal and narrow boats. The venue also allows dogs inside too which is great.

Stayed here for the night to visit the local area, conveniently located right on the river with lovely walks, the breakfast was nice with great choice although if booking through a agent and not direct check its included, we were asked what time we would like breakfast when checking in, to then be charged the following morning after breakfast. The rooms do not have usb ports so make sure if you need to charge devices you take a plug.The rooms and building are lovely and comfortable. Very characteristic with some lovely touches. Would definitely recommend staying but book direct with hotel so there’s no hidden charges.

Disorganised. Tables being sat and told of table service but then no one taking orders or giving out menus. Tables were putting hands up to catch the eyes of servers. When people were going in to order due to waiting so long, a server was quite rude. Our drinks came 20 minutes before food. Our order came and both were wrong. Then had to wait another 15 minutes to correct the order. When we did eat, it was ok but not worth the money,

We came after a recent flood and after ordering 3 club sandwiches which come with chips and a cheese toastie with an added portion of chips we were told the chip fryer was broken so chips were not available. Nevertheless, we were charged FULL price for the 3 club sandwiches with NO chips and more disgustingly we were charged an extra £4.90 for chips we did not receive. See the receipt. There are other tea rooms in Bradford on Avon that are worth visiting and you wont get ripped off.

Went here as a start of a celebratory weekend in the area and chose it for its good menu options for my wife who is Coeliac. However, despite the NGC claim on the menu they actually didn't have much choice at all. To be fair, the food that the non Coeliacs had was pretty decent (apart from not much meat on the ribs), However, the service was appalling. It wasn't busy but we waited over an hour for our food. The place felt like it needed a good clean, especially the carpets. Suspect it lives off its location. Fortunately it didn't spoil our weekend, although we were a bit late starting, but would not go back
