So glad to have found this gem. Bought a small rye loaf, raspberry cake & a sweet bread filled with blueberries & drizzled on top with icing which perfectly offset the tartness of the blueberries. The raspberry cake was absolutely amazing. The bread was somply great, my only regret is that I didn't buy the bigger size! Looking forward to my next visit 🙂

Really delicious food, the tawa was well presented and each element was very tasty. However, the service is REALLY slack!!! We were a group of 8 women, enjoying the winter festivities, and it took forever for them to take our order, they got the tea order wrong, did I mention that, it also took one of us getting up from our table to ask them to come and take the dessert and hot drinks order. When the waiter finally arrived he was friendly, but the lack of good service needs to be addressed!

Please avoid this Subway branch. I ordered a foot long chicken tikka sandwich but was given sweetcorn and cucumber and charged for a veggie deluxe. There is nothing deluxe about this sandwich or the service by the two Asian men who work there. They then tried to charge me again for a replacement. Bad customer service

This was my local pub. Spent time here with my family as a young man from discussing my university choices with my mother to catching up with my grandmother. Wrote parts of my thesis here. The food was affordable but good, the atmosphere relaxed. This was a sit down and eat pub where you could linger after your meal or come in late with a laptop to work over drinks. Quiet cosy and friendly. It was also filed with books and photographs steeped in local history. But after the pandemic the owners sacked the chef and sold the kitchen and fewer and fewer people came. It wasn't financially viable as a wet pub in an area where many came to eat and quite a few are tea total. Only time will tell what happens next but the owners have shown no sign of reopening.
