Ordered Sausage and Mash from a totally disinterested Guy at the bar , The food came in reasonable time , we have eaten at this Pub many times , it’s not top notch but generally really good , the said food arrived and wow total garbage, mash cold peas rock hard and sausages obviously reheated, the waitress said all ok ? , explained what was the issue … ok she said …. never saw her again. The older Waitress was so nice but obviously the only person interested in customer service. A real shame as it’s a real convenient place for a quick lunch , or was .

Myself and six friends went today for Christmas lunch, having been previously for Sunday lunch was expecting the same quality or even better, how disappointing we all were for double the price of a Sunday lunch. Turkey was off the counter sliced / prepackaged , no sprouts (unavailable) Tesco and Asda around the corner. Prawn cocktail starter no bread and butter, hardly any sauce or prawns for the price of £22.50 each really disappointed

Visited with my mum and dad for brunch. We ordered two Malaysian Sunday sets as well as a couple of small plates; Hong Kong char siu cup, beef rendang bao and a flaming rib, washed down with a bottle of Peacock cider. The starters for the set meal came with the small plates we ordered and everything was divine. The flaming rib was set on fire by the waitress and it was absolutely spectacular to watch the flame dance along the rib! The rib itself was divinely tender and melt in the mouth and a huge portion that I was worried I wouldn't have room for the main of the set meal! The char siu cup was crispy and full to the brim with delicious char siu. The beef rendang bao was also full to the brim and also delicious! The set meal main came-the nasi Lemak-a divine but spicy (for me and my mum, not my dad) platter of a small dish of coconut rice, crispy fried chicken, peanuts, cucumber, a small pot of Malaysian curry and a small dollop of Sambal sauce. The coconut rice was fragrantly fluffy with coconut taste, the peanuts very crunchy and the fried chicken perfectly fried. However, the fried chicken was very salty at the end. This was the first time we tried the Peacock cider and we were pleasantly surprised. It is very light, tart apple taste with a touch of a slight sweet spiced aftertaste. Well recommended if you like ciders! All in all, every time we come, we are never disappointed with the food and service. The team are very attentive, friendly and really an asset to the restaurant!

Seriously Weatherspoons do better fish and chips than this place. Against my better judgement went here (after my horrendous meal at the Driffield store). Again it was just grim, tasteless fish that was thin, flaky and with a slimy wet consistency yet somehow overcooked. I'm not sure how they train the staff at this place but apart from the Lincoln way store the fish and chips have always been cr*p.
