The best restaurants in Wolds Weighton East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

I've used the takeaway service several times now since covid and the first couple of times was hit and miss. I was not impressed with the plain rather overpriced hot dog. But I persevered and I have now discovered the beef Piri burger which is delicious, their chips are genuinely the nicest I've ever had! However, the 'home made' desserts were really disappointing. They come in a carton with the manufacturer's name on it. Clearly factory made and frozen, very small portion at £3.80 each I feel completely ripped off!

Esperé más de 40 minutos para un desayuno. Cuando llegó. Sirve en platos fríos congelados. La comida era tibia! Huevo sobre tocino cocido apenas caliente y frijoles fríos. Terrible servicio! Al personal no le importaba si la comida era buena. Mi consejo no vayas allí! Terrible comida y servicio impactante.

We love these tea rooms. It's a great spot to warm up after a lovely walk, there are so many lovely walks from the village. The soup is amazing, we have it every time. The service is so friendly. The cakes are amazing.

People and service were excellent (decor and ambience not so much!) but the food I would rate as below average, for the price that is. £8.80 gets you a not so great version of a full English with just one sausage that is just slightly above a cheap sausage, no hash browns included (pay extra), and (thankfully) no black pudding. The owners need to go visit some other breakfast cafes even supermarkets or Dunelm Pine, or cafe 3 in Heworth, York (eggs Benedict for cheaper), to see what their competition is. If they just bought Asda sausages (6 in a pack) and slapped in some hash browns for that price they’d have elevated their game massively, and maybe grill half a tomato instead of serving mushed up boiled chopped tomato? Would love to eat there regularly if they levelled up. Will be going back to try other things. So this review is based on one trip and a full English.

Stayed at The Plough Inn Chinese & Hotel for our 4th stay in August 2024. Absolutely first class every time. The host is the friendliest lady you could ever wish to meet. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The room is clean and everything you could need. Will definitely be back very soon. Thank you from Carolyn & Peter.

Lovely food and comfy relaxed atmosphere, we have been her a couple of times and one of the waitresses in particular made our visits. Katie is so friendly, helpful and just generally lovely, she is a complete credit to the place

Was waiting for our children on a D of E practice and was told about this cafe so visited for coffee and cake. Great coffee, setting and even found a vegan cake. IF in the area would visit again. great find.

He reservado la casa de Cat & Andy como una sorpresa de cumpleaños para mi novia que está absolutamente enojada por las vacas Highland. Llegamos a conocer a los tres chicos Wonky, Roo & Dave enseguida tan soo como llegamos ya que el gato encantador estaba esperando también presentarnos, conocimos a todos los demás animales de granja y Ginge el gato, pero fue 100% las increíbles vacas de las tierras altas que hicieron de este viaje lo que fue. We had a meal in the Bombay Clay Oven restaurant. We would certainly recommend it. The food was tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. Jay, front of house was very friendly and we were introduced to the chef. We’ll definitely be going again.

Really nice tasty indian and good value for money, would recommend for anyone thinking to try 😀 chicken tikka starter really tasty and vindaloo perfect spice

Wonderful venue, lovely, kind staff/owners. The home-made ice cream is delicious and the special coffee excellent. All enjoyed while taking in a breath-taking view across open countryside to the Yorkshire Wolds. Well worth a visit.

Excellent food, the seven spices special is great. Price is fair. Nice and quiet. Can’t complain.

Bread was stale. Very dry and crumbled in my hands. Not what you expect from couplands. Considering they sell fresh bread I was very upset. Put me off my sandwich. I would have took it back but didn't eat it soon as I left the shop. I was at the other end of Weighton. Maybe if it wasn't raining I'd have gone back
