The best restaurants in Wolds Weighton East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

I never leave reviews but tonight was quite something else. We ordered and live in Holme-On-Spalding-Moor so drove to pick up. We checked the order as last year we got home with one less curry than we had ordered and paid for. We realised we were a naan bread short so had to go back in to get that. Got home and saw we had 2 incorrect meals, so called and asked them to make the right meals and we would come and get them. We were perfectly pleasant even though it meant we were no longer eating together on Christmas eve. They asked us to bring the other food back to which I said was a bit gross as it would have been like approaching an hour since it had been cooked and other than reselling it why would they need it back? When we got back to pick up the correct order they tried to charge us in full for the replacement food and when we said no he said my husband was trying to act like 'a tough man not paying for his food'. I actually can't quite believe how incredibly rude they were after messing up twice already in the order. Won't be eating here again and I never write reviews but frankly they deserve this one.

Been here several times and the food was amazing! Very tasty and presented beautifully. Staff on a whole very welcoming. I would recommend this place and i will be back for future meals.

Food really good and service, only thing I can say is car park very slippery with ice, could have had some salt down.

The Bay Horse in Market Weighton is a lovely spot for a tasty and fresh meal. I started with the French onion soup, it was delicious. The broth was rich and full of flavour, with soft caramelized onions and a cheesy topping that made it extra special. For the main course, I had the fish pie, which was excellent. It was creamy and packed with fresh seafood, topped with a golden crust that was just right. Every bite was comforting and flavourful. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. They were attentive without being overbearing, which added to the relaxed atmosphere. If you're looking for fresh, tasty food and a friendly place to enjoy it, The Bay Horse is worth a visit.

DO NOT USE THIS TAKEAWAY Thought I'd give it another try 16 quid for mixed kebab. 2 pieces of lamb I repeat 2 pieces of lamb. Absolutely.disgracfull My wife got a churros again a few chopped up bits of chicken that tasted like what one could only describe as a old tyre. They are literally rip off merchants. Also the donner meat was pale undercooked and what id expect dog feces to taste like. The only positive was the delivery guy, cracking fella. DO NOT USE THIS.TAKEAWAY

Called in for a pre Christmas drink.After being closed for a while earlier in 2024 good to see it.open again.Busy when we visited, great bar staff.Can,t comment about The food as we didn't eat there.Definitely visit again to try the food in the future.

Where do I start Nill star because utter disgusting first of all train your staff to speak to the customer if they don’t like it suggest the p45 especially to the three lads that were on tonight it’s customer service !!! The fish n chips try changing the oil it’s burnt and it sinks in the fish also it don’t cost much to say do you require salt n vinegar not slam the lid down , mushy peas and curry sc jeez I thought I needed a trowel to get them out how thick they were try adding water to thin down and we come to the price asking £33 for one large and two small fish n chips I mushy and a curry bet your clapping your hands because the other chippy is closed 100 times better than you sorry to say don’t normally complain but our tea tonight was crap what a waste of £33 anyone going to this place be very careful unless you wanna eat burnt oil Customer service sorry to say you have none

Not been here for a while as we no longer live close by, called in and greeted by the lovely Chai like a long lost friend. Banquet meal, excellent fresh tasty and delicious. had to ask for and no problem at all for a doggy bag as the food was so plentiful. Topped off with a great pint of Landlord, we will be back!!

Very disappointing. One of the worse chinese we've ever had. Very bland, no flavour at all. Kung Po Chilli chicken tasted of nothing and the Chow Mein, well, same. The mini veg spring rolls had the most flavour. Such a waste of money as we ended up binning most of it. Will not be returning.

This is a must visit place if you are in the area. The grounds are lovely to walk round . The cafe as an outdoor and indoor dog friendly area. The view is lovely from the conservatory. The staff are friendly. Coffee and cake was lovely. A favourite place of mind to visit. Free WiFi if you need it.

A tail end of a fillet , how this can be called large cod i would love to know , for the price this isn’t good enough. Disappointing

Fab room, plenty of space, clean, comfy bed, big powerful shower,friendly staff, good bar area and good breakfast would 100% say again!

This cafe is now called Miss Bs pantry. Very friendly ladies and delicious food. As a coeliac myself I have to have gluten free. This is very well catered for here so my partner and I have visited on numerous occasions.Various selection of savoury dishes and cakes. Lovely latte too. Well worth a visit.

Excellent. Friendly service and food was really good.We bought 2 cakes on the way out and what a treat they were.Will definitely call again when visiting York

my wife and I got a cold cut up chicken sandwich and way under cooked pasta salad with cheap mayo . it said grilled chicken so by some chance I thought it might have been hot.wwow!!and the French dip was equally horrific. the place smelled like a massive hard boiled egg peeling contest was taking place ..at least I hope that is what is was. geeez!!safe to say we won't be back.
