Have visited here before. No problems with the food which is always good, as it was today. Arrived for table booked for 12.00, served drinks at once but had to wait for an hour for the food, and only when I reminded staff that we hadn’t been served.

Lovely place with helpful and polite staff. A comfortable, pleasant bar area and the breakfast and service was exceptional. They love the dogs. I would certainly recommend this Lovely hotel.

Xmas eve dinner. Lovely atmosphere although the lighting was a little too bright. Delicious food and super service. A complimentary Panettone given as we left, a lovely touch. Thank you.

Best chippy ever ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s isn't enough.....we drive past other fish shops to get theirs, it's only tiny but I would recommend them to anyone ☺️.

A very nice takeaway, very friendly staff, my wife doesn’t like onions, so they make the dish without onions, I like mine extra spicy, and that’s how they make it.just ask, they will help. Very tasty food, nice flavours. SADLY SHANGHAI PALACE, HAVE NOW CLOSED, WE WISH THEM ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE.

I stopped on a cold, rainy day, in between a visit to the physiotherapy clinic and a 'falls prevention workshop' opposite, and was delighted! I'd almost despaired of getting a really good flat white in Huddersfield, and boy was it strong! Accompanied by a lovely piece of flapjack, brought to my table. Couldn't have been nicer. Might have been a quiet day, but most of the tables were taken. I genuinely thought 'What a nice place'.

We came using a voucher we had from our wedding three courses including wine the service was quick and friendly starters were nice garlic mushrooms and Stilton and broccoli soup and we both opted for beef for main with a lovely red wine gravy we asked for a breather for pudding and received a nice selection of cheese and biscuits and also New York cheesecake …the restaurant area is intimate and I would certainly try either an evening meal which would have cost £35 pp three courses which I think is good value or Sunday lunch

Having not long moved back to the village we used the Grove as a starting point when we were meeting friends. The place appeared very run down and is in need of serious renovation. The other customers looked in need of renovation too Our friends could not park, we were told the car park is for management and people staying. In a village where other establishments are making a real effort the Grove is letting the side down

I ordered in advance for collection. When I collected, a couple of minutes early, my order was already sat out on a worktop waiting. When I got home 1mile away, the containers were lukewarm. The curries were congealed and very oily. We had to put each item in the microwave to reheat. The poppadoms were also very greasy. First time trying this business and won’t be using again, sorry.

The pub doesnt sell John Smiths nor Guinness!...Must be the only pub in the UK that doesnt sell Guinness...Losing both food and drink customers as a consequence...Having just moved into the area we find ourselves eating and drinking elsewhere...

This Indian food was the best I've ever had,the fish panoramic starter was beautiful and the chicken paneer curry was the best curry I've had,the staff are lovely too

Cookie ‘dough’ was burnt like a crisp, not worth the money and portions were bad for the curly fries considering price.
