The best restaurants in Selby Yorkshire and The Humber

First time in - fairly quiet, great value for a good toasted cheese sandwich and coffee. I ordered to eat in and still got a paper cup - would have been better to serve in a mug etc and a plate for a sandwich. Music too loud to talk and the wifi is terrible, takes ages to connect and doesn’t stay connected - this really needs sorting. Would go back of the WiFi was resolved.

Pleasant pub. Very good Sunday roast. Would prefer to have less food and pay less. It was a huge amount of food. Nice and busy

Called in today and ordered meals for five. Pork Ribs, Chicken Satay, Beef & Cashew Nuts, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Mushroom and rice sides. The food was delicious and very competitively priced. Highly recommended and compliments to the chef 👏👏👏👏

Great little garden centre plants look really healthy will be going again

One of the worst sunday lunches ever cold meat and veg burnt Yorkshire pudding sent it back to get warmed up came back couple minutes later still with the burnt Yorkshire pudding which was now like a rock not big or even medium portions found it expensive as were the drinks staff need to be trained in hygiene as every waiter and waitress were stroking customers dogs no apologies from waiting staff or management

We just met for coffee and a breakfast. There were already quite a few people in at 10am. The breakfast came quickly after we ordered it.

Awful customer service. A key component of the meal I ordered was not available. I wasn't made aware of this by the waitress when I ordered, or when my food was brought to the table. When I asked I was told there’s nothing they can do, but she would check with the kitchen. She didn’t bother to come and tell me what the kitchen said, only when I asked again. When paying, we asked what discount they had granted given the incomplete meal, and all we got was excuses of I’m not the manager, we don’t sell many of that meal, it’s Christmas so we haven’t had everything delivered. Terrible customer service, would not recommend. No atmosphere in the pub.

Your delivery driver is a top bloke, always friendly and chatty. He definitely deserves a Christmas bonus

Meet my best friend once a week at this Nero's, staff very helpful carrying tray down to the lower level, only problem is often the flat whites are not that hot, annoying as not cheap, especially asking for hot coffee. Hope this gets taken care of . Thank you.

Awful tasting Chinese food. Chinese Curry was red and tasted of tomato/sweet and sour sauce. Chow mein was flavourless. Very disappointed

First time here for takeaway, salt and pepper spare ribs were good but mains of satay chicken and satay beef were awful. Thin watery sauce and tasteless meat. Hope they do better next time if there is one.

Ordered food for delivery, sauce was like dirty dish water and went straight in the bin. It was like they cooked it under water.

Well it closed recently and had been flattened to the ground. To be replaced with new residential. Alternative in Sherburn in Elmet.

Just passed Motorcycle test so thought i would call in, seems a very friendly place, i had a cup of tea but didn't eat as i had breakfast shortly before, the staff were very friendly and their is always quite a few bikers there and you can strike up a conversation with other bikers,enjoyed my visit & would certainly call again.

I visited over the war weekend, very friendly staff. good value. would recommend stopping for refreshment. I got a much better reception here than I did at the public house in Grosmont.
