The best restaurants in Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Been to quite a few premiere inns and this one was as expected. Clean room although hubby would have liked a bath but only a shower. Comfy bed. Shout out to matt who booked us in Always smiling and he was friendly and helpful. Other staff friendly too. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the breakfast Although unlimited it's cooked to order and served at your table. I just prefer the buffet style. It wouldn't deter me from staying again though..lovely stay.

A decent branch that doesn’t get too busy. Staff are polite and friendly. Caramel Cortado and Lemon Muffin is always good 👍

Poor signage, no proactive staff to mention to people that they're queueing in the wrong direction, resulting in guests rejoining the queue at the back after already waiting a relatively long time to be served distinctly average food. Obviously the price of everything is bonkers too. Not good enough, no sign of going in the right direction and sours the experience.

Floor was so sticky the soles of my shoes were at risk. Music so loud the bar staff couldn't hear my order.

Came into Five Guys today for a meal it was my first time and I have admit I was pleasantly surprised the food was fantastic it was fresh enjoyable and a decent portion. I want to give an extra shout out to Kirstin her customer service was fantastic she was so pleasant and helpful definitely a credit to the company. I can’t wait to come back.

Lovely traditional Italian Cafe, brings back memories of Sorrento. Excellent food at a reasonable price.

Famed for their burgers, it was great to see they had a plant-powered menu with a large selection of options! Myself obviously going for the “Hey Hot Stuff” which was a @movingmountainsfoods patty, vegan cheese, jalapeños, roquito chillies, onion rings, spicy vegan mayo and the usual burger toppings. There’s a good selection of sides too, but what won it for me was the Vegan Duck Loaded Fries! Quacking with flavour, the ‘duck’ was succulent and tender! Smothered with juicy hoisin sauce and topped hoisin mayo, toasted sesame seeds, spring onions and red chillies. I would happily return here just to gutbash on the fries alone! And there’s few venues up and down the country, including London, Leeds and Manchester. Real messy but so worth it!

Food is always excellent here after visiting a few times. Coffee and cakes are equally as good. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and the pricing is more than reasonable. See you soon!

Always great tasting coffee, comfy cafe, can't say cosy as it's open plan in the shopping centre. Unlike other recent reviews, I found the three staff today to be really friendly and chatty. Very helpful, took order and delivered to table. Had time to chat with customers. Joking and laughing with customers, very jolly! Clearly a good number of regulars too on first name terms. Definitely give it a go and don't be put off by other reviews.

Loved this place for a spot of lunch, bought large jacket potato with chilli and cheese with salad on the side. Small but plenty of space to sit, lovely friendly staff who brought your order over to your table for you. Was served quickly and food came speed force to my table. Reminds me of 90s early 2000s pub, extremely clean.

Tasty Chinese, we tried the duck which was pricey but a treat. Made on time ready for collection. Cash only which is inconvenient these days!

My mother in law takes me here on a Sunday for the exciting bingo.she sat with her friends drinking lots of wine shouting and carrying on.then we had to carry her home.roll on next week

Fantastic food fantastic service and always delivered with a smile. Pizza burgers are amazing from here. Can't fault upton spice at all. Great bunch of friendly people
