Pretty basic Takeaway food, if you like your run-of-the-mill takeaway food, this won't disappoint.
This is no YOH Burger, but then again YOH is incredibly pricey
Passed by here many times before but as the main part seemed a little run down we hadn't given it a second thought. This time however, We were in need of a break as our journey had been fraught with heavy traffic so we pulled in and were so glad that we did. A very pleasant refreshment stop, with helpful, friendly and smiling staff meant that we stayed a little longer than intended. We shall definitely call in again when travelling this route.
The Boathouse at Newmillerdam is very well run with efficient staff and lovely food. The Boathouse is in a lovely area with good views of the lake and wildlife.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon for a bottomless brunch, £35 for an hour and a half.
You’re given a list of terms and conditions the second you sit down. 1 drink at a time (fair), any drinks left over at the end will be charged for (fair) and last drink orders 15 minutes before the end of the brunch. This means you only actually get 1 hour and 15 minutes and not the full time. This rule also doesn’t make you feel very welcome to stay and have more drinks after the brunch.
Staff are very strict when it came to the 1 drink at a time rule. We were getting to the end of the drink, then able to order another meaning you were sat with no drink quite often while the new found was being made.
Music was way too loud so we couldn’t hear each other when trying to talk. We did ask them to turn it down which they did.
There are 2 toilets in the whole restaurant too. There really needs to be more.
Food was nice but could have done with a bit more meat in the gyros.
Unfortunately we won’t be back.
A very dated place, but a great place if you like listening to the staff bitch about homeless people and how the police don’t do anything about them. “Go get a bloody job, and work like I’ve had to do all my life”. All whilst sitting in the customers dining area! Now don’t get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there is a time and place, and this wasn’t it. Go to jollies or the last bank over the road. Coffee was nice though.
Had works Christmas meal here. The food was good and the service was very good. Had the seafood pasta which was anmazing and hallumi for a starter with two glasses of house red wine.
Absolutely disgusting, I ordered salt n Peper chicken, bit into a piece and it was stretchy and stringy (like a kid stretching chewing gum) I thought maybe a bit a fat so tried another it was the same, tried every piece all the same, the curry sauce was far too thick that u could probably stand a spoon straight up in the pot,egg freid rice contained no egg and the rice hard, fried noodles were sticky and the crispy veg rolls were floppy never even seen crispy.will never order from here ever again and word of mouth is the best advertisement ! UTTERLY VILE !
