After a long walk we arrived just before closing. We asked if they were still serving coffee and they welcomed us in. Very friendly staff. Lovely cafe. Scones delicious. Would definitely go back

Was lovely but not enough snacks would have lik a toasted teacake but not on menu opted for cake it was delicious not too crowded staff friendly and helpful

The lunch we had at Cradle was nearly sublime. Reassuringly one choice only re starter and main. The Carrot & Apple soup was rich and deeply good; the accompanying bread and pickled salad a wonderful treat. Then later, as utterly made to order, the main. The worst food on the island and horrible rude staff. Made me very uncomfortable. I couldn't finish my meal it was so awful and it also made me quite ill the next day. Avoid at all costs!!!

Went here for our Xmas lunch......fabulous!! Staff were very attentive, food was excellent and the atmosphere perfect. Everything was catered for. Holly and her team did an amazing job of looking after us We had so much food. Very tasty and I can honestly say they excelled. Holly could provide half the amount of food and charge the same if not more.....can't honestly see how the business profited as the food was of very good quality. Holly bare this in mind For future events. You deserve to earn a good living from your cafe

Met my mum, sister and baby niece (and dog) for brunch. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. Service was quick and friendly with nothing being too much trouble. Gluten free options available. Would there again. Thank you 😊

Such a disappointing experience. Very expensive (£11 for soup and one slice of bread which didn't come with any butter) and even more money for a "hotpot" which was saag aloo. The saag also was basically overcooked potato, which was absolutely tasteless with hardly any spinach and, again, a small slice of bread with no butter (many vegan butters could have been provided!).

Visited this afternoon to have a coffee to warm up having walked from Whitley Bay. Found the staff friendly and efficient. The mince pies were delicious as we're the drinks. Highly recommended!

A great family run restaurant. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and the service was great. The food was excellent in both quality and taste. Will definitely be returning next time we visit Buxton.

Visited with my partner and sad to say it was very poor quality. The potatoes were very small with floppy skins not baked at all. I had cheese and beans which I left most of it and my partner had bolognese. Both were small servings and not very warm. My partner had a really upset somach within about half an hour and felt really ill. We had to go home. Whilst we were in there at least another 3 customers remarked at the poor quality and left their food uneaten. Sorry but will not be visiting again.

Walked into Strummers this morning to be greeted to a lovely young lady who gave us a warm welcome. I ordered a small breakfast whilst Carol had a toasted cheese and onion sandwich. The quality of my breakfast was top notch. G and C from Tredegar
