Excellent little cafe good fresh and tasty food

Gran lugar para una parada mientras conduces arriba / abajo de la A 65. Hay un museo del queso y muestras disponibles. Para un picnic disfrutamos de jamón Yorkshire secado al aire local y queso Yorkshire local en galletas saladas en el área de picnic. También puede abastecerse de cerveza local para disfrutar en casa. Best ice cream around! Fantastic choice of flavours, fairly priced, generous portions....cannot fault Roy's Ices! Never yet been disappointed!

Lovely bakery offering tempting savoury and sweet snacks. We had sausage rolls and macarons. Service was really friendly. They have a small outbuilding which you can sit in and some seating outside. Part of a lovely courtyard of shops etc.

I just love everything about this place, the welcoming staff, the quality and range of food (in particular the salads) the environment and convenience. I’ve never had a less than excellent dining experience.

Our meal was simply delicious ! I had reservations about visiting simply because I'm not really a "grill" type person. However, this was one of the best meals I've had in a very long time . I had the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly and beautifully tender . I had the pork belly for starters which likewise was delicious and not too fatty (even for pork belly). The hispi cabbage side was yum too. The only dish that was underwhelming was my partner's starter - smoked burrata - we both found it fairly tasteless . As we both love burrata , it was disappointing . That aside, the meal really was excellent and we will definitely return. Very good wine list too.

Lovely family run business. Food was made on the premises and was great. The sausage rolls and cakes are amazing, we will definatly be going again. Friendly efficient staff and beautiful little tea room.

After waiting months from booking to go for lunch, we had high expectations. The reality was even higher, our lunch was remarkable in every way. Truly delicious, every course had depth of flavour and texture. How Kirk could do this with no egg, milk, cream etc is amazing. We had both the wine flight and the non-alcoholic flight and both compliment the food brilliantly. The service was spot on, friendly and knowledgeable.

Absolutely wonderful family run restaurant. We visited on Thursday night - service was impeccable and personal, and food was local/seasonal and very thoughtful. All just so perfect. Worth travelling for.

I have used it on 2 occasions now and both times has the service and food been wonderful/ Fresh ingredients and wonderfully flavorsome.

Wow, the food is amazing, the service outstanding and we felt like we were the only customers in a full restaurant. I would travel an hour from my home to eat here again!

Cracking little pub. Walked in on a night when Newcastle United were playing away at Man Utd. (Newcastle won 2-0!!) The game was on tele and subsequently the place was packed. Three of us, never been in before were made to feel welcome as we joined in with the lively atmosphere. Friendly landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome. Cheaper prices for drinks too £3.90 a pint of ale. Loved it in here and would definitely go back.

Amazing Brunch menu, the Avocado, Mushroom & Halloumi on sourdough didn't disappoint! Will definitely be back to sample some more. Highly recommend a visit
