The best restaurants serving American food in England

We have been customers of Maranto's for nearly 30years. We had a bad experience last time we went but thought maybe it's a one off so went again for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately,the food was not great again, smaller portions for starters, and bland soup. Some of the meals were tepid and pasta dish also quite bland compared to what it use to be. Service was quite quick and efficient but sadly we won't be returning.

Here for Christmas Dinner and food and service was top draw! We was all very happy.

Finger licking good... like actually! Not like the brand named rubbish. After arriving without a booking, we were warmly greeted and given a seat at the bar where we ate delicious chicken and super tasty Cucumber salad, washed down with a great beer. Deeeelicious.

Best birthday joint ! Large group of 11 year olds and seperste large table for adults. They took good care of us. Live music, great food, super affordable kids options.

Great cocktails and chicken wings. The staff went to extra lengths to make sure we enjoyed our visit.

What once was a go-to family favourite has recently become a bit of a let down. The portions seem to be getting smaller, which for the price is a bit ridiculous. But the most disappointing part has been the service lately. It has been so slow, even if you have made a reservation. It takes so long for even just a glass of water to come out on the tables. The food was okay, I had the tiger prawns and it was a little disappointing, very very small. I also had a burger, which was fine but not anything wow-factor. The drink I had (Blackberry Fizz) was also not good, and made me feel unwell. It tasted very watered down & felt like a sad mocktail.

We had our daughter and future son in laws engagement party there on Sunday evening. The staff were unbelievable and so friendly and so helpful. Beautiful atmosphere...we would definitely recommend this place. 10 out of 10 ❤️

Had the pulled pork burger with chips. Burger felt small for the price. Atmosphere was quiet....it was lunch time on a grey December day. Service was fine.

Food was absolutely delicious but the service we received was even better than the food! Thank you David for going above and beyond to make our visit absolutely amazing. We really appreciate it!

What the hell have they done to this once iconic place!! Seriously. The Big Red, famous as it was, has truly died, and dragged back above ground as some cringey student-night nightclub you'd find in any high street in any nameless town. Full of gobby kids, wrong'ens and wannabe hardmen. The staff are a mixture of miserable, rude, unnecessarily aggressive and most of the time completely unaware of customers as they sat about, chit-chatting, watching their phones or vacating the bar while people are waiting to get served. One of the ladies behind the bar screamed at us from across the room and got needlessly snappy when we spoke to her. Bizzare behaviour! Customer service score -100! Drink selection is boring. Nothing exciting to offer, standard beer taps and basic spirits. Oh and the new security team are pretty much pointless, snoozing in a corner while trouble was boiling up. They now have a fecking godawful resident DJ playing irritating pop radio tracks, grime, rap, reggae & dancehall and various Kiss club tunes with no real sense of mixing or reading the room. Heard a few songs 2 or 3 times. I mean? Come on dude!! Good luck getting on the pool tables too! They seem to be reserved for regulars or gangs of students only! We came as a group of people who would end our nights heading to the old Big Red regularly, and we all left feeling bitterly disappointed. Considering this was once a landmark rock bar in North London for those who wanted to sit and drink with good music, with good people and a have a good night. It has sadly now crumbled into some soulless nappy night! 😒 I asked the dude behind the bar about the old owners, he said they have opened up a new Big Red near Camden stables, so for those wanting the good old days of Big Red... Sorry but this place certainly ain't it! Booooooo! 👎🏼👎🏼

Just amazing. Outstanding actually. The service made my sisters birthday as they all came together and sang together. All service was just incredible thank you. Especially the one waitress called Jane. 10 out of 10 .

Highly recommend the Hope and Anchor to anyone in the area, they offer a wide selection of drinks / food, plenty of seating options, Pool / darts available, as well as sports on tv. Everything you could want from a pub really! The food is well priced and delicious, I had a triple stack burger 👌🏻 Finally but most importantly you can tell the pub is well run - all the staff are really friendly and deliver a high standard of customer service, we were served by James who was fantastic - thank you and keep up the good work guys 👍🏼

A great vegan meal at the Beck and Call today- vegan fish and chips. Generous portion of battered tofu with chips , mushy peas and tartare sauce. Delicious ! Also got the offer of buy one meal get second half price which made it great value.

I ordered through uber received some of most delicious burgers i ever had with a lovely note that made my whole week. Thank you for whoever wrote that… this was on 17 Dec… I still remember it means a lot. Keep doing it.
