The best restaurants serving Asian food in England

I was taken to the Spice Tavern by friends for an early meal yesterday evening August 12th. I am disabled and have an assistance dog. We were refused entry with my dog and were told to leave her in the car. As the temperature outside was 30 degrees, that was not going to happen! Needles to say, we will not be going there again or recommending it! We went to the Black Horse in Hookwood, Horley where my dog and I were made very welcome and we had an absolutely delicious curry

Does anybody know if this, one time ‘flagship’ restaurant will open again? All new Bangladeshi restaurants were judged against the Bengal.

My family had been excited to see what the fat crab was all about . So it was a promise to visit there with my family. First to have a takeaway and come back later for dinner if we see the staff were friendly. To our surprise the snow crab we ordered 39 pounds and the source was outrageous. It was so salty you could actually taste the suspended salt at the bottom of the plate. The powered peper and the muxed herbs could be tasted individually. We ended up binning the source. The crab legs were all bony. As a matter of we fact we were at the verge of returning the meal and just leave. Our experienced with the meal was horrible. Very disappointing for the kind of charge the meal cost.

Is this venue still operating? I placed an order online for takeaway meal on 11th July. My money was taken but there was no confirmation and the food didn’t arrive. I have tried phoning but no one answers. I have sent msg requesting refund but so far have had no response.

Superb meal again, always faultless, food so tasty and such good value whether having the mid week special or going at a weekend. Chicken tikka Rogan Josh is superb, chicken so must andc tasty. Mixed grill starter such good value, home made samosa and onion barging with shesh kebab and lovely fresh side salad. Service is friendly and always excellent. Super selection of fabulous Indian home made breads to mop up your curry. Always look forward to eating here.

First impression - lots of empty seats but is it really that bad? As i entered on my own for lunch i wanted a table for 1. They looked at me funny but whats wrong with a table for 1? Anyway I was short on time as I needed to catch the train. I opted for the beef noodle soup but WOW it was so BLAND. Pho is supposed to be flavourful within the broth but i couldnt even add salt to justify the taste. Im not one to complain as i love my food but I would like to inform others that you may find better elsewhere

We had a takeaway and part of the order was missing. We had driven all the way home and then realised the missing item. We called the restaurant to tell them and there was no apology. We then had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to pick up the forgotten item and they never apologised.

Just great and really surprising at what works well. Rustic decor and tasty food I defy anyone to critique the food

From the welcome when we arrived to the moment we left, the customer service was excellent. Our dinner was exceptionally delicious, prawn Balti to die for and chicken tikka both hit the spot. I’d highly recommend a visit so you too can have a pleasant evening with genuinely helpful staff serving delicious dishes.

This spot is great and classy, came here for a business meal and the staff were extremely polite. Can’t wait to come back here with my family. I tried the chicken tandoori and had some lamb too, would definitely recommend if you love a good curry. Very fast service too and great customer service.

Had previously been here with freinds....a few weeks ago meal was good So I returned.... Had exactly the same meal chicken Jalfrezi E f Rice Keema naan Rice..very good! Keema Naan ok Main meal terrible! 1/5 Just chicken in a kind of gravy/sauce. No.peppers....no onions just a sprinkling of raw loose onion on top. Didnt look or taste like a Jalfrezi at all! Ruined my meal... Main meal 1/5 Wont be visiting here again. Sorry...

We visited Ollie’s for a business lunch with our client and although we did not know it, there had been a problem with our meal. We were happy chatting with our client but the Manager was apologetic that there had been an issue with our meal and the food would be on him! We thanked him very much and when the food came out it was very tasty and the portions huge - incredible value for money. I was then asked if I would like another drink (passion fruit Bellini…delicious) and proceeded to have this and coffees all round. At the end of the meal the Manager again expressed his apologies and said there would be nothing to pay!! Omg what amazing service, above and beyond. Thank you, and as we work opposite all year round you will definitely be seeing us again. Service that you do not see often, but was greatly appreciated today.

Ordered a take away at 7.12 pm today 27/04/24. States an hour for delivery. Rang at 8.35pm. I was told it had just left, and would be 10 minutes. Okay that’s fair enough, still early, I thought to myself. 9.05 pm still waiting, so rang up and cancelled 😡 Alas I will not be giving them my custom. 2 hours to long to wait, and I don’t like been lied to.
