The best restaurants serving British food in Chesterfield East Midlands

I am usually reluctant to write reviews but this place has consistently impressed me time and time again. I have tried Chinese takeaways all over Chesterfield and I finally found one that I thoroughly enjoy every time it is delivered. Local, quick delivery, always piping hot and fresh food, not too oily, not too dry, flavoursome and cooked beautifully. The chow mien noodles are brilliant and a personal favourite of mine. It’s also excellent value for the quality of food that you get, whereas other establishments are often very unaffordable but much less delicious. Highly recommend. Do not hesitate to order from Mai Hing, it’s delicious!

Love this pub friendly welcoming pleasant place

Called at the cafe for a coffee. Being solo I joined the long queue and as I neared the front of the queue with my greyhound I was approached by staff and asked to leave. Just wanted a coffee to take outside. The kiosk in the grounds was closed. Needless to say I won't be calling again .....,

Didn't realise it had been taken over again since April so decided to give it try. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was excellent. Burger and fries and steak sandwich. Will definitely visit again. Glad it's gone back to a place with homemade food like it was before.

Very well cooked food and cheap drinks. What else is there to say.

Fantastic staff, comfortable, spotless restaurant and lovely food. Everything we had was beautifully cooked. We had lunch and dinner with breakfast the following day and we couldn’t fault any of it.

Bought some tomato sausages went to cook them and they all split open turned to mush and to bin them as couldn’t tell if cooked or not waste of £4

Bought 6 beef burgers of which the 2 i have had as chunks of bone in. The 1 piece of sirloin steak I had cost £8 and cooked medium rare left to rest for 10 minutes was like eating leather . Pork Pie that was recommended by many people was very disappointing when I cut into it the jelly just all ran out ,very disappointing

I only had coffee and great service as always.
