The best restaurants serving British food in High Peak East Midlands

After a dreary rainy day we decided to go for a traditional Sunday lunch to warm us both up. Having stumbled across The Ladybower Inn previously we had heard the rumours of a new management team and wanted to try it out. The decor inside has remained largely the same although some great subtle differences include framed pictures of the Lancaster and the historic reference to The Dambusters. The staff were friendly and attentive and so welcoming you can't help but walk in with a smile. The pub had a great buzz about it and one of the best pints of triple X I have had poured. The food was exactly what was needed and was satisfying. The gravy alone should be jarred and sold to take home it was phenomenal. Brilliant food, great clarity in the pint and comforting friendly customer service.

I’ve ordered from here multiple times and this was the first time my order came late. I’m not upset though as they gave me a piece of cake to make up for it, I do live out of the way a bit so I understand the lateness 🤗
