Had an absolutely tremendous dinner with friends. It's as good as any of the high end Nottingham restaurants but had a really nice personal touch. Can't recommend highly enough.

Finding a nice HALAL place in Nottingham to eat isnt easy so when a friend recommended this place and aswell as seeing them all over social media, i decided to go with a friend. The atmosphere was really nice, with gorgeous decor and offer variety of options for food from hot foods to sandwiches or tea/coffee with freshly baked desserts. After a really good experience I opted to go again with my mum and ordered the delicious lamb chops and also had the most amazing fully loaded brownies i’ve ever had. The service was fantastic and i didnt have to wait long for the food either. I also ordered a cake with only 4 days notice and the lady was so nice and accommodated to my every need! I would 100% recommend this place!

The malt cross is a exceptional pub. Fantastic management from the managers customer service and kitchen service is of exceptional value for money. Obviously, where the is a tasting menu, there will likely be one or two dishes that are not to everyone’s liking. Last night 10 of us attended my wife’s birthday celebrations and with the exception of a mushroom dish, and the bread and butter, pretty much the whole party disliked the rest. My son summed it up best on leaving, saying I’m off for some chicken nuggets on way home. It was truly the worst tasting menu experience (not the service), I’ve ever had. I recommend the Chefs visit ‘The Tasting Club’ near Ashbourne to see how it should be done, for around half the price! Last night was £2,000 wasted.

Excellent value! The spuds here are awesome and there is the added bonus of plenty of vegan options. Love it.

Lovely lovely food. We came for breakfast and it was so yummy. Little slow service and had to wait a while for our food but lovely none the less. Would recommend
