We had a dinner party for 10 people on Friday 3 January and it was excellent. The food was delicious- good portions, exceptional quality and very tasty! Very good service, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend.

What a lovely little pub and restaurant. recently taken over i believe and is now ran by mum and daughter. on arrival we received a warm welcome. We enquired about GF options, and were very pleased with the choice available, due to the fact the food is prepared fresh, by the chef!! our lunch options were the Burger, and a roast beef lunch, both meals were fantastic, along with a decent couple of pints of Guinness. lovely atmosphere very welcoming, lovely people. i will be back. keep up the good work guys Phil

Recommended to eat here by a friend. Fantastic steak pie, perfectly cooked chips and delicious home-made roasted red pepper and tomato soup. Could only drop in for a quick lunch this time but will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu. The deserts look divine. Warm friendly service.

We visited the Black Bull for an evening meal on Friday 30th November. Trecey kindly welcomed us when we arrived early, save for three of our party travelling from Barnet, who were delayed on the motorway. We enjoyed drinks as we waited, and once we were all assembled, were able to order our meals. All choices were served with a smile, and were delicious. Our dog was allowed to sleep under the table, so we enjoyed a real country pub serving excellent food, and to cap it all, Timothy Taylor butter in first class condition. Thanks to all the staff at the Black Bull for making us all so welcome.

Loverly country pub and the room we stayed in was good value for money and breakfast included. Ideal for last minute stay drinks where a bit pricey and no Guinness left.

Exceptional Sunday lunch the beef wellington was so good the best I've tasted in a long while and pork bites starter was too good The front of house staff are so welcoming. Also you will have a good choice of beers. We would recommend this pub a visit.

We have just had a Sunday roast and it was fantastic.. we have been all over locally for a good Sunday roast and always seem disappointed. Lovely staff, amazing food! Really couldn’t recommend more highly. Friends have eaten in the week and the lunch time menu is also very good. We will be back next weekend!

This is a lovely Pub with accommodation. Beautifully decorated and clean. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable. There was tea, coffee and bottled water in the room. We booked evening meal and we both had Indian curries. I had an onion bhaji starter, it was beautifully presented and the taste was exceptional. The curries we had were the best we’ve tasted in a long time. They were served with tasty basmati rice and Naan bread. Breakfast was lovely too. Rupesh was our host throughout our stay. He was helpful, attentive and very friendly. Top man!

Excellent pub and Inn, owner Bernard and his staff were incredibly welcoming, rooms were lovely, food was outstanding - highly recommend this Inn.

Lovely pub. Very good service. Called in for breakfast to be welcomed by a roaring fire. Perfect on a chilly morning.
