The best restaurants serving British food in Mancroft Norwich East of England

Lovely drop of Italian red and some nice cocktails, would recommend anyone pops in.

We held a wake for my father at the SugarBeat in December 2024. They were very accommodating in terms of what food we wanted and the number of people who would be attending. The food itself was excellent with many attendees commenting on how good it was. The function room and bar area was perfect for about 50 people. They provided a great venue to celebrate my father’s life with those who attended the funeral at Newton Flotman church. The staff were both professional and courteous over the booking period and throughout the wake itself. I would thoroughly recommend them to anybody holding a funeral at Newton Flotman church particularly due to its proximity.

Wow, what a lovely lunch we had today! All three courses were beautifully served, and tasted delicious (including the vegan option). The trainee waiters were very respectful and attentive, and confident enough to have a chat about their course. The instructor guided them subtly when necessary, to help them improve their skills. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in Norwich! We have already booked a return visit.

this use to be a great place to enjoy a nice beer at late night have been here lots of times the staff are nice and helpful but had a vist this time and the doorman there are so horrible was on my own and not drunk in fact was going to be my first was told you can not come in because we are closing 11.15pm so I left sat on the bench at top then I not noticed pepole were being let in for the next 30mins so were not closing just being choosy and judgemental may be trying to impress all the girls he was talking to at the door but it is a great bar but hope they do something about doorman running your business

Llegó y pidió una mesa para cuatro. Dijo 15 minutos de espera. Dijo que esperaríamos y nos quedaríamos afuera al sol. Fui 15 minutos después, para encontrar la mesa que le habían dado a una pareja. Protesté y me dijeron que fuera a buscar otro lugar para comer. Francamente, no sé cómo siguen en el negocio.

I love the friendliness of this cafe. The food is always good and freshly prepared and sensibly priced. My go-to place for coffee or lunch when I'm in Norwich. It is occasionally a little slow if it is really busy

Perfect host , Perfect food .couldn't fault it. Yummy food. Had breakfast last week and it was the best breakfast I've had out .

I love to drink, I love Karaoke and I love a good time. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good time!!

What a fantastic place this was for Norwich city centre with a hard working long suffering director who even paid her way through Covid to stay open. Our cities small independents similar to this have a bleak future ahead as the burden of an increased VAT bill is the result of price increases to cover the forced minimum wage increase, higher taxes and raw material costs. To be brought down by this mess of scaffolding seems an absolute tragedy and certainly an exit with no dignity- but does prove that our independents are disappearing fast.

Went to woolpack for partners birthday, food and service brilliant. Nice not to feel you were getting ripped of for a change. Highly recomend and certainly be back.

Was quite looking forward to one of the Pieminster pies but, what a surprise! The chef apparently had a big order just before so were told to come back 20 mins later and we "might" be able to serve food. Who'd have predicted it would be busy at the weekend!? Not to mention terrible service at the bar trying to get a drink, chap next to me got told "you know you won't get served here" referring to a particular spot at the bar, so I left to walk to the other side, only for another bar girl to the serve the original area almost immediately. The total arrogance and apathy of the staff, sack them all.

A nice cinema that is fully accessible and with a great selection of food and drink for before and/or after. Very comfortable and a clean, well-kept environment. Still great on repeated trips 🙂
