The best restaurants serving British food in Mancroft Norwich East of England

Huge department store with lots on offer. Look around for quit tills, as there were huge queues on two tills in the basement but a third doing nothing.

Lovely place with a cool atmosphere. Staff were extremely polite and friendly.

Fantastic mid-morning breakfast. Coffee is the best I've had in Norwich so far, and the toasted crumpets with butter and jam were perfect. Highly recommend. Will return again soon.

Tallow is a great place to eat if you want a flat iron steak. Good sides and very reasonable prices. Gonzales sauce was great. Service still needs work when you compare it to their other restaurants. But it's only been open a week so I'm sure it will get there.

Place is covered in dust and tables are sticky. Food is poor quality.

Seated quickly after a short wait, good choice on menu, food arrived quickly.

Went to Roger Hickman’s with my mum today. Everything is perfect about this restaurant, the ambiance, the service, the food, even the quality of the cutlery :) Thank you to our server for a lovely experience.

Didn't have food so unfair to rate- a proper local . Hidden gem. Good atmosphere..I'm not a regular but lovely surroundings-top landlady and wide selection of all alcohol plus own beers bar billiards table is a great touch. Shame I don't live closer. So many pubs too big too modern and maybe I'm getting old but one of my favourite places. Mature pub ! For mature people

Unfortunately this place is going downhill We as a big family come to the oaks every Xmas eve as a tradition of our once a year get together. Upon arriving previous years the car park has been very busy it was empty! When we entered was told that there were many things off their menu & had a paper print out of what was available and the prices of the food isn’t cheap either! We ordered our food & drinks, 3 of us had the bottomless fizzy re-fills now I get there is a cost of living but the glasses for this are tiny now when you used to get a good size Coca Cola glass. We ordered food to all come out together, my children’s chips came out ( hardly any in the bowl!) then we waited another 30 mins for the other main food to come out, all my families came out very slowly & I then had to chase a member of staff for mine. Again my meal had hardly any chips on for nearly £12 I expect more than 10 chips & waiting nearly an hour for this, the place was quiet so no excuse really to why it took so long, previous years it’s been rammed & food has come out quicker! I had a bacon & cheeseburger & it wasn’t nice at all, the bottom of the bun was soggy & the patty actually tasted like a frozen burger you get from a supermarket! Food was lukewarm too. I can see why it was so quiet in there if this is the state of the food & service you get. Sadly I think we will have to find somewhere else on our Xmas eve get together to spend a lot of money at because todays experience & service was not great!

Beautiful British tearoom . Highly recommend the trio of treats just enough with tea in between shopping . Will defiantly return
