I called to try and book Afternoon Tea for 4 adults and 3 babies, given the name of the cake shop. I was really disappointed to be told that we couldn't bring in more than 1 or 2 prams due to health and safety. There would have been 2 prams and a buggy... It's unfortunately not practical to carry a baby all the way from where the car is parked and then have them sit on your lap the whole time. Might be best if you give the name of your cafe a re-think! Mum's do like to have a life too and we don't get much 'Yummy Mummy-ing' done sat indoors at home!

Went to miller and carter for Christmas Day lunch. The restaurant was busy but not fully booked as there were plenty of empty tables with guest trickling in through out the afternoon. The staff were all welcoming and polite. They were very accommodating when we had to change our table to downstairs as a family member couldn’t manage stairs. However the food was disappointing for the money charged, the bread served was dried out, the starter (king prawns) were burnt from the charcoal grill. The turkey was moist and tasty but the broccoli was burnt (not sure how it was cooked) and the cauliflower cheese was stone cold. Finally the cheese cake topped with profiteroles dessert was stodgy and all 5 desserts were pretty much untouched. They looked like they were frozen desserts that had been thawed out. The waitress didn’t even say anything when she cleared our plates. The overall experience left us disappointed and would not recommend M&C for Christmas Day lunch at all.

Green dragon for Sunday lunch great atmosphere, warm welcome , staff very attentive could not do more for you . Food was amazing and also wheelchair accessible. Cannot rate this pub / restaurant enough . I will be back thank you to all the staff for making our family lunch an enjoyable experience

Had my 65th birthday lunch here . There were 9 of us and I was delighted to find that we were seated in a private dining room upstairs . It was absolutely perfect . The food was very good , well cooked and good value . Everyone had a wonderful time and the staff were very friendly and effective . The restaurant is definitely a step up from say a gastro pub /bistro . But without being in the fussy fine dining end of eating out . I you have a small lunch/dinner party then having one of the private rooms makes for a delightful experience that I can heartily recommend

Having changed hands recently I have seen a decline in service from no beer to no gas to serve even Pepsi etc. Regulers have left and local gossip will not help business. Owners need to up their game at this premises as I can't see it lasting .

Top marks to The White Horse for yesterday’s fantastic meal. Six of us celebrated being a family here on December 23 and the service, food, ambience were all ( as usual!) faultless. We would like to thank, especially, Jamie, Bronte and Dan: you always make our weekly visit here a total pleasure and really, we can’t thank you enough. You were also able to make really good room for us on a very busy day, as I had only booked for 4. Heartfelt thanks again. We will be back!

Not very impressed spent a long time looking and planning for a stay on the winter dinner bed and breakfast, the system lets me get all the way through to booking but because of an event I’m unable to have dinner. Really frustrating it shouldn’t have been available as an option on my selected date if this was the case.

I went for a drink with some friends, and while most of the staff were absolutely lovely, one individual seemed to feel that English manners fell short compared to those of Americans or Canadians, which was rather disappointing. As decided to school me on this. It was not welcome
