I’m usually hesitant to leave reviews, but this visit truly stood out—it was nothing short of exceptional. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, paired with Jess’s outstanding service, made it an experience worth sharing. A big thank you to The George and Jess for making it so memorable!

Best pub in st Albans hands down. Extremely cozy inside in winter and the best garden during summer , staff and owner are lovely. Very good prices and draught beer selection is awesome if you want beers that aren't your usual British pub selection. Great food too and the best dogs.

Proper pub and not London prices

Pleasant visit, I visit the restaurant on Christmas eve and no doubt the spirit was there. The team was really engaging and nothing was to much to ask. Even my boyfriend was slightly annoying and sorry for that... He things he is hilarious. I would like to mention actually the manager Carl, polite, friendly and helpful in ever aspect of my boyfriend requests. Thank you for such a pleasant visit.

Lovely traditional pub. Very cosy in cold weather

My experience was fabulous especially Lucy and Seren,also try the steak they gives you a big knife and you should to try saw the steak and the Chairs are really comfortable.

Really delicious beef roast, in a snug pub with friendly staff. Very happy.

Cosy place. Enjoyed the play room with loads of board games.

I booked an igloo for a surprise bday about 6 weeks ago… only to be cancelled by voicemail at 1.56pm on the day… 5.5 hours before the booking! To say we were fuming is an understatement.

We wanted a casual meal and had been offered a free round of drinks as a birthday treat at The King Harry. W Ed weren’t expecting anything special but the service and food made it a really great evening. The service was attentive and informative. The food was excellent pub food. We had an enjoyable evening. Definitely recommend this venue for a casual night out

Ales are kept well, the upkeep is great, and the pizza was genuinely top notch

First of all let me say the building, decorations and everything internal is stunning and the staff are delightful. The food, not so much. Our guests had toasties, I've never seen such a small square of bread on the plate, no bits of salad on side. It looked dreadful and they were disappointed. My pizza was very mean on the pepperoni , and was greasy and my husbands burger and chips was ok but The burger was a very thin one. We had come all the way from Guildford to meet our Grandaughter's partner so didn't want to make an issue, but sadly won't return.
