We booked the kitchen and bar restaurant a couple of weeks in advance notifying them that we would be using our Jumeirah One £100 voucher that we exchanged with our points. We were warmly greeted and sat straight away. Service was very good, though empty inside. We ordered the salt and pepper squid to start which was very nice. Then for mains we had the king prawn linguine which was very nice though lacked any real flavour. Maybe a touch of chilli or something to give it a slight kick. We also had the mixed grill with lamb kofta, chicken skewers and diced lamb. Unfortunately the diced lamb was tough. Surely use lamb neck fillet. Chewy as stewing lamb. Shame. Rest was very nice. Then we came to pay. I said we were paying with a Jumeirah One voucher. My phone was taken to prove the code, we never saw the bill! Then there were a total of four people trying to sort it. Eventually I was told that the voucher couldn’t be found and could I email an address to prove the code. Really. Finally I said I would give it 5 more minutes or walk out. Had enough. Finally I was given the thumbs up that it had been accepted. Still no bill!! And I have now found out that they have deducted not only one voucher but also another £100 voucher without my consent (and I believe the bill was about £90). All in all an embarrassment of an ending. Shame. I await an apology, my second £100 back and maybe some kind of reimbursement too for the problems!!!

They served a pudding with "off" fruit - it was completely inedible and when I tried to tell the staff they were completely disinterested! Eventually one of them said they'd made a note of it and would tell the chef. I pity other people who were served that dish that day.

Best british food I had in London, great atmosphere with fire place, not crowded on a sunday lunch time, friendly and relaxed service ;) 🔝🔝🔝

What a little gem! I arrive from Portsmouth and found this place the landlord and the barman were very accommodating. Lovely friendly atmosphere I liked it so much. I came back on Sunday with some friends yet again the same very warm welcome. The landlord is very witty which is lovely to see. I will be back in January, hopefully to see you again and by the way the beer was fantastic. Nick the man with the big glasses LOL

The sandwiches and pastries were stale. Worst afternoon tea experience! Very disappointed considering the proximity to Kensington Palace.

Waitress Teresa was very friendly and helpful food came up quickly and was well cooked and good quality we had ribs, haddock and chips and half rotisserie chicken

Skip. This cafe is so loud, hot food, especially pizzas, is poor quality for prices, and the toilets are disgusting. If you are already here and haven't ordered, quickly walk yourself out the door, go for a 5 mins walk up the south side of the serpentine lake to the Lido Cafe. It's warmer, cosier, better food and drinks and atmosphere. Even if you have to sit outside. Go. If you're looking for gourmet lunch and it's a nice day to picnic in the park, go to the Harrods food hall and get something nicer for the same prices.

Our anniversay with two adult sons. Starters OK. All four of us ordered Steak Frites, Medium rare. Steaks were 4 different sizes and thicknesses, so noy all 'Medium rare. Meat was as tough as 'old boots'. Disgraceful for a supposedly 'Fine Dining' restautant We certainly won't be going there again. David F
