The best restaurants serving British food in Bolton North West

We are regular visitors to the Odessa. Always quality food, piping hot and presented to your table by very friendly staff. The menu caters for all and you will be hard pressed not to find food to your choice. Naturally because the café serves inexpensive quality food it is busy most of the time, but it is well worth a visit to enjoy. The takeaway food is very popular with local offices. There is a large selection of fresh meats, cheeses and pies.

Popped in for some lunch after a walk. Absolutely lovely ladies and food was delicious - really warmed us up after the heavens opened! Can’t wait to come back!

I guess all supermarket cafes are much the same, which was my view until today. Yes, the food is tasty (they do an outstanding breakfast) and ample portions are served, but I noticed a great little touch I haven't seen in any other cafes of the same sort. Queues at the till can be a tad long, especially at peak times (you can't keep a good thing secret for long) and I'm not going to make any bones about it - people of a certain age need to rest their legs on occasions, and I noticed just to the side of the till some thoughtful person has placed a chair for just such a situation., and it's not there just for show. If the need arises, you can rest there until it is your turn, and without losing your place in the line. Thank you Morrisons from a grateful customer.

Delicious food at very affordable prices! Highly recommend their Sichuan (slow cooked) pork soup noodle, must have spent hours and hours in marinating and cooking, juicy and full of flavours 😋😋

Went for a Sunday lunch and can truly say it was one of the best we’ve had. Empty plates all round. The staff were very attentive and professional. We will be back.

I have just called into The Olde Pasty Shop. We devoured 2 x pasties - fat, full & tasty, the pastry is just perfect & light, not greasy at all, the nicest pasty, beats Cornish pasties (in Cornwall) hands down! Their own cute little shape. We also tred a Whist pie, I've never had one before, but again, it was delicious! We also had an egg custard, I'm repeating myself now, but they are also perfectly delicious. I have been coming to Bolton for years, why have I never had this shops treats before?????? I will definitely be back. The service was lovely & friendly & it was lovely to see Mrs Walsh, too! Thank you!

Had breakfast with Santa morning. My brother took his kids on Saturday morning said that all had great time. We unfortunately did have same experience as them. Food was ok. I didn’t think much of Santa kids were not taken by Santa. Santa spent very little time with kids all seemed rushed. Think need to improve on breakfast and there Santa.

Again recommended and we had visited many years ago. What a special place. Not your average fish and chip restaurant because there was a pianist and the staff were so friendly amidst the beautiful decor. Food was served efficiently and very tasty. Very much go again

We regularly attend Wacky Warehouse with the little ones, really good value for money and the staff (Chloe) are really friendly and helpful.

We went - after a walk - to celebrate my special birthday, my brother’s and sister in law’s pearl wedding anniversary and, of course, Christmas! We had the lunch two course special and the food was fabulous. I’ve eaten at Nicks restaurants over the years, so knew it would be, but everything about it was lovely - including the new setting. Nick brought out our main courses himself. Our waitresses were delightful (especially Charlotte). They really spoiled us! Wonderful! We will be back 🥰
