I rang to make a booking for Monday January 6th 2025, your web site says you are open on Mondays. The booking was made for about 12 people. During the next hour I sent an Email about the booking to 10 people. I then rang 6 others, going through the menu with 4 of them and taking their orders. Someone then rang me to say you were not now open on a Monday, regardless of what your web site says. I then had to send out another email and ring people again to cancel the evening. I didn't receive an apology for all this inconvenience, just a statement of fact. I am not impressed. Carolyn Ashbridge

We stayed at the Inn and ate in the restaurant and were delighted with the food - we were advised that the chef is new but they seem to have become well established by our visit. In particular the vegan options were lovely - a cut above what is often on offer for vegans in pubs. Please see my pic of the nut roast which our daughter said was delish 👍

Popped in for lunch after a stroll on the beach with the dogs. Really excellent food and the service was great. Staff really friendly and certainly happy to have well behaved dogs around!! This is the real deal in British beach side cafes!

Called in today on the off chance there would be a table for us,we both ordered the sunday lunch (the roast chicken breast and the nut roast.) A feast for the eyes on arrival, just enough of everything ,roasties, cauliflower cheese, bubble and squeak mash (🤤) ,peas, carrots, delicious gravy (being a Yorkshire lass this is crucial lol) topped with the biggest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen, really reasonable at under £15. Still thinking about how good it was hours later. No Lakes beer such as Jennings though, which we thought was a little odd,but the ‘farmers blonde’ was good The staff were welcoming Dog friendly too. What a find! Definitely call in if your in beautiful St Bees

I went to the Kellbank who displayed a 5 star food rating despite months before they had a rating of 1 and didn't change the sticker. I contracted ecoli and was hospitalised my last night It is now October and according to a good source the Kellbank Hotel in the Lake District from where I contracted ecoli, they are still displaying their 5 star rating sicker. Lawfully their most recent one done all of the way back in spring still not displayed. What is no one picking up on this? Date of experience: 24 July 1024

Shockingly bad.£5 something for pie peas and gravy to go and the dogs wouldn’t even eat it. The pie was tasteless and had a thick layer of undercooked pastry, the peas were like bullets and the gravy was just coloured water. They must have worked really hard to get that as bad as it is. I dread to think what the other food is like if they can’t even make this.
